Title: Skweek
Post by: Obfuscate on January 17, 2013, 02:08:23 AM
What a fun little game.  :P

I got this in a bundle and thought it I would be a play for 5 minutes then store away in the collection to collect dust, but I sat there for probaby 1:30 hours and made it to about level 30. Has anyone on here made it through all 99 levels? If anyone has does it get absurdly dificult later on? I think I'm going to try to chip away at beating the game we'll see how my patience goes.

Pretty fun for a puzzler game, a good one if you can get it cheap! Anyone else enjoy this game?

I dig Skweek, but only played about as far as you have.  Imagine how much better it'd be if it were two player simultaneous like Splash Lake.  :o

I've been wanting to give this a try since I love puzzle games. it's always $20-30 though on ebay so I've passed on it. sounds like its worth picking up though.

Well, I popped it back in last night and started where I left off the night before and about 4 hours later I had cleared all 99 stages. It's a fun game, there is sort of a shooter aspect since your guy has a weapon that can be upgraded, there is a cool spread shot weapon that is fun to dominate enemies with. Plenty of strategy and learning how the enemies and different tiles work. I had a good time with it! A pleasent suprise.

I'll have to put this game on my want list.  Thanks for the info!

skweek is one of the funnest games on the turbob.

I don't think I ever played past 20-25 stages before having the sudden urge to play Pengo. Seriously.

I have the US Game Gear version of this, Slider.  Does it get challenging eventually?  I got bored after a couple of levels...

(The game was originally a European computer game, of course.  In the US though, the first game only released on Game Gear (Slider), and the second only on Lynx (Super Skweek).  I believe that latter game is the only home-system version of the second game.  Japan got the first game on TG16 (Japan only release of course) and Game Gear, but didn't get the sequel.)

Never heard of this before, so I watched a video on Youtube.  Seems like a fun little game, I should pick it up!

Can't get much lower than $12 OBO on eBay.

Ha! I didn't know that. Hmmm....there's a sequel on Lynx I never knew about?  Crazy.
