Title: Helping a friend liquidate his personal collection
Post by: hoobs88 on January 27, 2013, 04:25:30 PM
Hey guys, I've been helping a friend of mine list games on ebay over the weekend and I thought I could help him a little more by advertising here on the forums.
His ebay ID is sarchap. Here's a link to his listings....http://myworld.ebay.com/sarchap/

We've listed 132 games/lots so far and have a ways to go before his game room is empty. He collected for quite a few different platforms: NES, SMS, Genesis, Dreamcast, Game Gear, Wii, Gamecube, Gameboy, 3DO, N64, PSP, and maybe a few others that I can't remember. If anyone is interested in something listed, I could see if he could hook you up with a forums member deal. If there's anything you are looking for that is not listed, I can see if he has it and perhaps sell it without having to list it (to bypass ebay fees).

We have a little competition to see whose listings will end up selling faster (although he listed quite a few more games than I have but I took more photos than he did).

Blimey.  I just had a look, but I have to tear myself away.  I shouldn't tempt myself with my current state of debt.
Suffice it to say, there are some great games there.

Very cool stuff, and a very nice Dreamcast and SMS selection.  I might keep an eye out ;)

Is he willing to make deals on bundle purchases?

I'm going over there again on Wednesday night to help list more games. In the meantime, just message him through ebay and mention that you know me through the forums.

It looks like I need to get a power base converter. Does he have one of those up for sale as well or just the Sega Master System?

He used to have 2 of them but I don't remember seeing them in the game room when we were going through stuff so he probably sold them in the last batch of listings a year ago.

He still has one power base converter but it is the "Frankenstein". The previous owner sliced up the bottom hoping to fit it into a Sega Nomad but it doesn't fit. Apparently, it is still functional in a Genesis but it's not very pretty with the slices.

Lol, I want to be friends with your friend.  That's exactly the kind of thing I'd do :D

Oh sweet Adventures of Link (Zelda 2) I have been looking for that. Is it possible to get a picture of the box, and does it come with the manual?

From the description, it looks like it is just game and box (no manual). I'll take a photo of it when I go over there tomorrow night.

Listed about 50 more games last night.
