Title: Ah Rayxanbers
Post by: Bonknuts on March 06, 2006, 05:39:19 PM
Apparently this is one of the most top rated hardest game of 8/16bit era - according to a bunch of forums found with go~gle   Also some people are mistakenly labeling Rayxanber III almost as difficult!? Yeah right, III had low-to-moderate difficultly.

Has anyone beat Rayxanber II? I've done it with magic engine and save states, but not otherwise.

Who else thought Rayxamber III had some of the coolest tile sets than any other shooter? <raises hand>

I thought so too. The game wasn't colorful, but damn they sure know how to use shades of brown and red to create the best looking graphics on pce shooter.

This isn't the best side shooter on the pce, I would rather replay R-Type or Gradius.

The game does get a 1up compared to rayxamber II on graphics/gameplay, but the difficult was to easy even on maniac mode.

That and the levels were too short and slow, but I guess if the game moved too fast it would defeat the purpose of your rocket boosters.

I sure do love using thoses rocket boosters.
