Had two rooms to put my babies in. Could not get the two Versus up the elevator so they stayed at home. Typical new anime con...nothing like the awesomeness of MGC (but I got paid).

Put all the candy in one room.

These two monsters fit the elevator but not the doorway so they had to put outside in the hall. I had Alpha 3 running on the Capcom and an dying 360 on the Megalo.

Picked up an Outrun 2 upright (on long term loan) this wknd, had it running in the "woody" room. There was a Double Dragon and 60-in-1(vert) running behind the Viper and Outrun.

Metal Slug X got some love all weekend. Saw at least three credit rolls.
Console room was setup by the con and was nothing of note. I did have a some obey though. Beat stage 31 on Military Madness and played some Victory Run (but the control on the express is not as good as running it on a console, so no completes)

At least you got paid, but missing MGC for meh?!?!?! [-X [-( ](*,)

Don't feel too bad man, the arcade was kinda weak this year at MGC. Last year definitely had better stuff. Some guy wanted a lulz-worthy $2900 for a Daytona doublecab. There was also a U.N. Squadron conversion cab that was beat to hell and had cardboard taped on the front, and someone bought it.

Yeah arcade, and vendor room were a fair bit better last year IMO as well....still some good finds, and tons of fun.

Awesome!

Standards...where are they nowadays?! There is always a cab or two at MAGFest that get's my cab of shite seal. Ragged marque, monitor issues or just plain wrong control panel layout are all qualifiers for my award :)
Double sit-down Daytona 1 selling for 3K?
It was Fat Tire and Yingling all weekend for me. I miss my Spotted Cow...

I hadn't even heard of Yuengling until I moved to North Carolina. Now it's almost a staple! Currently enjoying a New Belgium 1554. You have good taste in beer, Majors. :)
To almost stay on topic, I really wish people didn't hold conventions this weekend as it always falls on my wife's birthday. She's a nerd at heart, but hitting up a convention isn't her cup of tea as far as birthday weekends go. :(

Me too. Guess who brought back 14 cases? :)

Had to sell a bunch of gear to make room for those cases!

If you mail me Yuengling I'll send you Spotted Cow. My buddy snuck a couple 22oz cans on the plane to bring to me for MGC. Miss that stuff!

I think I helped him clear out quite a bit of space...

The anime con near me has a decent game room but almost no retro stuff. They also have a "handheld lounge" which is always empty because almost everyone playing a handheld does it in their room or waiting in line at the con.

Several people wanted that U.N. Squadron cab just for the board. I'm not too surprised that it sold.
