Oh man.

Interesting. I haven't played Ecco since the 90's. I just remember wandering aimlessly, but enjoying it. I never really "got" what you were suppod to do, but then again, I never really tried (aka, cared). I have both the genny cart and sega cd sitting in my collection, maybe I need to revisit one after reading this.
However, I'm not too pumped for a remake resurrection.
-
its not a remake. Its a new game.|!!!#E@R$t3ery3ry5uty

Sound interesting and original. Sounds like something I'd be willing to give a try. Played the Ecco games, but they never kept my attention. Hopefully this game will be different.
-
Yeah. I'd urge anyone reading to at least spread the word. this game needs more f*cking traction.
-
follin should have done the BGMs again.

Why? The soundtracks for the first two games were better.
-
Looks like theyve got Spencer Nilsen in on the music... I love the ecco CD soundtrack. Im in!
-
yea it desperately needs people to notice it.
-
Cool stuff, and Bear McCreary is helping with audio. I loved his music from Battlestar.
-
Yeah.
I just like that it's continuing in the same vein as Ecco, where it takes place after humans go boom and all that's left for the most part, is sea life.
and the part where the trash in the ocean manifested into actual creatures is pretty wild.
-
Oh nice!
Interesting on the Ouya bit.
-
Yeah too bad it looks like its dead in the water.
... yeah.
-
you know, if they were to give the dolphin some BFG's and turn the colors to the brown side of things, they might have a winner.
-
lol.
They just need to show more gameplay footage.

True, what they had on the kickstarted looked more like an interactive aquarium than anything close to what they were describing.
-
They should integrate Snorks into the game.
-
SWIM ALONG WITH THE SNORKS
-
Seemed very "Endless Ocean" ish ....
-
Yeah, except Endless Ocean is just special olympics underwater adventures compared to a game like Ecco!
-
The first thing they show is touch controls on a tablet. Put me right off.

They fully hope (if game is successful) to get the game on "traditional" platforms with traditional control pads. That said, this might be one of "those" games that actually work well with touch controls... (Hey! I'm trying to be optimistic) (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcg0.png)

Yeah. I'm not sure why they chose that to show. Hopefully they show some PC footage soon.

Latest update is that the Big Blue is cancelled, pending Little Blue instead to stepping stone to Big Blue.
also, Oculus Rift support.
Life is awesome.

$55K of its $650K goal? This project failed miserably. That's ok, we're still getting Larry!

Yeah but they're doing Little Blue as a smaller kickstarter to demonstrate what the game is going to be, because people are doofs and didn't quite get it.
