After thinking about it for years I decided to get serious about snagging one of my holy grails. And recently I stumbled on a Yahoo Japan Auction for Final Fantasy (MSX). A week later and the beautiful box with all it's glorious riches shows up on my door: http://imgur.com/a/JNNvJ#0

Aaaaaaaaaaaand now you're broke, haha.

Who needs money to buy bread and milk when you can just look at the box and be filled with joy?

What is this bread and milk that you talk of ;-)

Excellent snag. I really prefer the MSX2 version of the game, despite its scrolling speed...
because the FM music done by MicroCabin is that f*cking good.

Wow, I thought folks were hyping the cover art...but that's really exquisite. I don't give a damn about Final Fantasy beyond the music and now: the art on this box.

Is this criticism it scrolls to slow? I HATE old RPGs that do this.
Are there any other material differences from the NES release?

There is some slow screen scrolling but this is the beauty of Final Fantasy MSX: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0CAA9FE7A2C6D20F

Congrats... which service did you use to import? I've been using fromjapan lately.

I used buyee and it worked out well. I think it was about a week and a half before the item was on my door step.

Oh man that music rocks hardcore!

Just FYI, Buyee has a really high percentage fee, compared to others. Check out fromjapan for future orders.

There are some slight color differences between the two, but the big thing is how slow it scrolls. It's pretty rough in all honesty.
but, the fact that it's an RPG, and the fact that the music destroys the NES version, makes it alright.
