This is at a local auction of mine this week. I bet it's going to go cheap and I may just need to bid to on it.
This is the only picture that they have of it, and I can't tell exactly what it is. Anybody?

Never mind! I just looked at the little cards on the sides. SPACE INVADERS.
Nothing to see here...move along... :-"
-
yeah those old taito cabs rock
-
I had (technically still have) one of these with two buttons, 8way stick, self implemented rapid fire and a revised hantarex screen :)
-
think it's worth grabbing for $100 if it's in good working order? I expect it to go less, but these auctions are always a crapshoot and seem to surprise me.
I once grabbed a working arcade machine for $10 at this auction. But I have seen a busted up SFII cab (and I mean BUSTED UP!) go for $300.

I see chickens and pigs

Looks like a proto of the unreleased Farmville arcade game.

Auction Com must have changed the image. This thread should be fun because the image will constantly change every week or so.
-
LOL. Yeah it was an old tatio cab. :D I like this we need to keep this thread near the top so people are constantly giving silly answers to things that arn't games.
Lokks like: John Deere Adventure 2.

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Say no more.

My first view of the thread was post picture change.
I kept looking at the Space Invaders responses and scrolling up and saying "Really?"
Once I made it further down in the posts it became clear you guys just f*cked with me. :)
-
Now it's "Super Pawnshop Baseball Card Survivor III: The Real Life Shelf-Busting Adventure!"
-
I doubt the image will change again. The auction is tonight and I think all the pictures are now up.
This was a good bit of unintentional comedy. I may need to do this again next week. :D

So. It worked good and and was in decent shape, but had a band of discoloration on the monitor. Ended up selling for 225 to some fat guy.
-
Are you sure it wasn't cellophane stuck to the monitor to make it 'color'?

:-k
Must be an inside joke I'm not aware of?
About a third of the monitor looked like this...

No joke. The monitors were black and white with bands of cellophane adhered to 'em to make 'color'.

Oh, I see. I have never seen that on a space invaders cocktail table, but have seen that in other games.
That certainly wasn't the case. The monitor clearly had the "band".
