stoked for this one.
however, i am trying to keep my expectations down.

I dunno, I liked that better than the current Marvel Vs Capcom. I didn't like all the endless sequels, so I've held off on buying them. What didn't you like about it?

Well...I guess 2D is finally dead.

Meh. I stopped paying attention after The Midnight Carnival, and even then my interest was waning.

the combat was too damned broken and choppy.
and yeah, the current MVC was pretty bad too.

MVC hasn't been good since MVC1

admittedly true, MVC 2 was fun and all, but i hardly think it was balanced.
P4A and DOA 5 are hands down my favorite fighters this gen.

I'm looking forward to this. Only fighting game I'm currently playing is KOF13. Tried getting into sfxt after the patch, but it just feels slow and boring.

How do you like KOF13?

I really enjoy SF4, which got me all pumped for MVC3 and SFXT....  but man did those games disappoint.

I need to put more time into KOF, but no one local plays the game.

Injustice is the best fighting game since SF4.

KOF 13 is amazing. It just has really bad net code so it can't be played online. Also its has a steep learning curve. But the game is really balanced. I think it and Tekken tag 2 are the best fighters on the market at this time. But i play fighters competitively, so my opinion is going to different from the person who wants a awesome single player experience, because i don't give a shit about single player when it comes to fighting games.

Also there are rumors that KOF13 is headed to steam. This could be great for the game as the net code could get fixed, and make the game playable online

hmm, that reminds me, i need to try TT2.
wasn't really a fan of injustice, the interactive stage thing kinda ruins it for me.

On my list are Persona4 and KOF13 - which one would you recommend if could only get one at the moment?

I tried the Injustice demo and was pretty impressed, it's a fun ad fast game. Have not tried TT2.

I haven't played Tekken since the PS2.

out of those two, i've only played P4A much, and it's awesome.
so i'd recommend that one, i guess :P

I really enjoyed the Anime, too bad there's no demo for it. KOF13 does look sweet.  How's the bouncy on that one? ;)

Persona 4 is considered a anime fighter which play a certain way. KOF 13 is a bit more of a traditional fighter. KOF is really offensive and fast paced, but it is harder to play and the online is bad. So if you have the time and some friends to play with I would suggest picking up KOF.

On the other hand persona is way more simple to pick up and play. However the game does have a deeper element. Also the online component of the game is much better than KOF. Me personally, I much prefer KOF. I feel it allows for more fighting game fundamentals. I also enjoy how fast paced it is.

I disagree, P4A is really good for beginners.
the whole "auto-combo" thing allows people who are new to fighters to get used to the deeper elements, rather than having to focus on nutso combos.
