I'm currently working on the 8 disc poly case template for the TG CDs and figured Id also post here to help get feedback from TG fans
Any feedback is welcome, you can see on page 3 I also posted shots of how the cases look in real life.
I'm sure many of you prefer the original cases but it doesn't hurt to have options of custom casing.

And here is one of the renders

Marvelous work. Much better looking than the original US of NA turds :D
-
Dig it you should post on cover project
-
These look really good!
-
Wow! Those look great. I'm currently using Sparky Stickers and unused audio cd cases for my loosies, but this would be a nice alternative.
-
These look fantastic. Only bummer is, that I'd want to have one for literally every single US & JP, both original, & homebrew, so that everything fits nicely. That'd be flippin' sweet, but it's quite a task!

Currently the 8disc poly case(8dp) is still kind of in a wip state but Im almost done with the template. We also have the dvd case project and that has around 40 tg16 games complete already, I like the 8dp because its more like the original case and you can fit a jewel case inside of it if you like or the card fits nicely into one of the slips. dvd cases are also nice because they are common and easy to buy at the store, they also fit nicely next to other dvd case games.
Currently its just planned to get all the US card and cd games done for both the 8dp and dvd but it will take a few years and we will need help with scans in the near future.
I should also mention there was some pce games completed for a different dvd template but I don't think anyone has been actively working on that one.

I prefer the 8dp for the same reasons that you do. The DVD one's are nice, but space is sooooo limited in my home, & all those games in DVD cases would really add up!

These are shorter, but they look twice as thick as a DVD case. Doesn't seem like any less space.

Hmm, you have a point. Looking at these pics, I was thinking there were the same size as DS cases, but I put a cd case up to one, & there's no way a cd case would fit inside a DS case!
-
Well the renders are not 100% accurate. The 8dp are 16mm thick and a dvd case is 14mm I believe..so 2mm thicker.
The case dimensions are 6" X 5.5"(tall) X .625" (inches)

Did you buy the full version of that program for the renderings? Forget what it is called
-
negative, just using a free version

-
