Title: PS1 Raiden Project CIB for sale/trade
Post by: VenomMacbeth on May 31, 2013, 11:59:55 AM
I just don't need it.  The music, which happens to be my favorite part of the game, sucks in this version.  I'll likely re-acquire it if I ever get a Japanese PS1, but for now, I'll stick to my PCE version. :D

The case is cracked in a couple places, but the hinges are intact & the game works flawlessly.  It also includes unused memory card stickers, but the adhesive has all but worn away with age, rendering them useless. :/ More pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/69559531@N07/sets/72157633847251968/

I would like to get $30 for it, but I'd gladly trade for some CIB Obey/other stuff.  Mainly, right now, I'm looking for:

Genpei Toumaden
Genpei Toumaden Kannoni
Valkyrie no Densetsu
Splatterhouse

and Ninja Warriors for the Sega CD.

PM me before I stick it on feebay!

How can the music suck there is the original and the arranged tunes?

In the first level track, "Gallantry", there is a noticeable lack of bass in the mix as compared to the arcade version.  And I never liked the arranged versions of the game's soundtrack (IE Raiden Project and Super Raiden.)  It's like it was taylor made for FM synths.  I'm probably the only one that feels this way, though.

So is this a fair price for this game, guys?  I lowered it to $30...

I have a loose PCE Splatterhouse I could offer you, but other then that got nuthin. I kind of considered picking the PS1 Raiden Project up again here myself but I am kind of in the same boat as you concerning how the soundtrack sounded. It did feel a little busted to me also. Its one of those games I'd prob pay $15-20 for but not much more. You can try taking it to ebay but I think there is like 16 copies of it for sale currently on PS1 so I am not sure how much good it will do you unless you price it lower then a lot of others.

EDIT: Take that back, I still have a few other PCE games, but they are not on your list. Magicoal, Pomping World, Ankoku Densetsu and Neutopia II. Currently they are listed for auction along with Splatterhouse but if you actually wanted something I could prob pull it for you.

Hm.  Ankoku Densetsu is actually pretty tempting...but I think I'm gonna let this thread simmer for awhile & see if anyone else bites, as I'm REALLY jonesing for a copy of Genpei (or hell, even the sequel at this point.)

Surprised you didn't ask for Genpei Toumaden on my raffle then. You only signed up for Sapphire.

Again, I try really hard to only get CIB games.  I made an exception for the Cadash raffle because that's an expensive game.  It just makes it easier in the long run; I don't have to try to track down cases & manuals later on.

Also, at the time, I was pretty much set on buying a copy Hit-Japan had for sale, until it sold. -.-

Ahh k yeah you didn't actually mention you were looking only for CIB stuff above or in the raffle. You prob wont want the Sapphire boot in the raffle then since it only has Sparky inserts. Its not the full on manual or anything.

That's okay, as long as it has some kind of insert (kind of like when I buy Genesis/Mega Drive games, I don't need the manual as long as it has the case & artwork.) Good point though, I probably should have mentioned that.  Time for an edit...

I have one of the Genpei games. I believe it is the sequel. It is the PCE version with case and manual.
