Krikzz has supported Game Genie cheats on many of his flash carts. People have asked if cheats would be possible on the Turbo Everdrive. Krikzz said he could add support but unfortunately a cheat device was never created. Is there any interest out there in developing cheats for games so that Krikzz can support
in a future update? Anyone know how hard that would be to do?
Here is my reasoning - some of the tougher games would be nice to
Have cheats but I mainly want this for my kids so my 4 year old can blow through some platformers. I enabled cheats on my N8 NES Everdrive and my four year old was able to blow through TMNT 2 like it was nothing.

Magic engine has a cheat system in it and creating cheats isn't hard. There is already a good deal of Game Genie like codes posted on the ME site. Perhaps if Krikzz were to contact the creator, he'd perhaps share his knowledge with him on it? If a search feature can't be incorporated, there is plenty of ME out there that can generate them.

Yeah I need to find the thread that came up and for some reason those can't be used somehow or the information on how the cheats work isn't available.

Found it

Cheating.
lololol what.
-
Yeah man.... I need Le cheats!
Perhaps an easier route is patching the roms to have a cheat menu - like I have seen on other platforms like SNES. Then no worries about Krikzz supporting

Nice now are these RAM or ROM based cheats? How hard is it to make these?
-
Ninja Gaiden cheat.....hell ya! See that's one that is a must have, same with salamander :-)
I want to use these on original hardware lol
-
The MagicEngine forums have a cheats thread... also I made these codes myself:
Rastan Saga II
--------------
FF221C:EA Infinite Time
FF2219:0A Infinite Life
That one's just cruel
-
Hahahaha

Yeah man.... I need Le cheats!
I couldn't agree more. Sometimes you want to test or practice something or are just plain stuck on a level. The opposite also being true, someone may think Super Star Soldier is too easy and they may want to increase the difficulty a little bit.
-
It would be just neat. Finally a cheating device!
-
Doesn't the Tototek flash card support cheat codes?
-
It does. That's what those cheats are for. The Tototek card has a RAM cheat function.
-
Then it should be possible for the Everdrive to support it as well. Sweet!
There ya go Duo-R, let Krikkz know.
-
Ok I think the issue here is the cheats need to be ROM cheats not RAM. But maybe he can implement it. How hard would it be to patch games to have a pre menu with cheats option?
-
Are there any threads on the Tototek that cover how the cheats work? I will link Krikzz
-
So the Game Genie and Game Shark enhancers were ROM devices? What about the ones that didnt connect straight to the media? PSX and Saturn game sharks for example. Wouldn't they have to patch on the RAM level or am I missing something?
