Title: does the pc engine cd rom work with a turbografx?

Hi, I recently purchased off ebay a turbografx with the cd dock and sysyem card, but no drive. Since the pc engine cd rom is more common and the two appear to just have different shells, I was wondering if it would work. Thanks for any knowledge you guys have.

Yes, it'll work.  If you search the forums, you can even find pics of 'em paired up (and working of course).

I have a pc engine CD with a black tg16 case on it, this works fine with my tg16 and CD base unit setup.

it was like it when i bought it the last owner must have a dead unit and swapped the case to make it match.

Thanks everyone for the info! In the future I'll probably get a pc engine cd drive since I'm sure their much easier to find and I don't care about asthetics so long as it works
