Hi,
I recently got a super cdrom2 console (the grey CDROM unit ), the local retro game shop guy replaced all the caps but still no cd music (eg, no audio cd music ). The game sound is partially good. For example, for shooting game, I can hear bomb, shooting sound but No background cd music( I am using original cd game not cdr ) I bet it must be some broken traces due to capacitors leakage. Any one see similar issue before? Any luck how to fix it?
Thanks
Jimmy

Are there any voice samples? (ADPCM), used for certain fx and voice samples only, theres a mixer circuit that mixes regular sounds with ADPCM and CDDA.

Thanks Fidde. I will give a try once I get back from Another repairing shop ( I just dropped off to 2nd retro game shop for repairing today ). Of course, I hope he fix is able to fix it :) I will try YS3 for the ADPCM based on this thread http://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=7328.0
Thanks again
