My local retro shop sells them for like $20 a pop. I'm going there in a few days, I can let you know if they've if you want.

With genny? Wow, not bad for a mom/pop.

20 bucks?!?! Sure that's a steal!

Did you have a model preference?

Model 2 with the top loader. I actually like the model 1/ front loader setup better 'cause that is what I played as a kid, but they seem to have more problems.

Never mind. Just bought a model 1 Gen and CD with 3 regular controllers, 1 six button controller, and an arcade stick off evil-bay for $35!!

That's a steal of a deal! hopefully it works though. The model 1 cd is pretty delicate but many of us here have experience fixing it so if you have issues we might be able to help. Most common problem is the the belt is loose/broken or the the tray mechanism is off track and needs to be realigned.

Well the seller says both work, and has been very responsive. So I have my fingers crossed!

Its funny that this thread came up, because i am actually looking for a Sega CD. model 1 or model 2, doesn't matter i just need one. My JVC X'EYE doesn't read disc

Well got Genny and CD unit today, and everything works great!! Woo hoo! This was the eBay deal of the year!

Awesome! Just be gentle with the cd tray and I recommend to not push the tray in manually and to use the menu eject icon instead.

Will do! Thanks for the tips!
