Came across a copy of Magical Chase on Ebay for anyone looking. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Magical-Chase-TurboGrafx-16-1993-Usa-Game-Ultra-Rare-/121177158835?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item1c36b8b4b3

For $600 reserve not met

I still don't understand that reserve thing. Why people can't set the auction's minimum price instead of putting it in the reserve anyway?

I think that when the auction ends if the reserve isn't met, then the seller has the option to sell to the highest bidder?

I think BIN or best offer makes the most sense if you would consider a lower selling price, the reserve thing deters bidders.

No, the seller can refuse to not sell it to anyone.

Lol giese that is the same thing from the other side. A reserve price gives the seller the option not to sell if thier price isnt matched.  They can sell it to the higgest bidder however if they would like in this situation .  This is most likely why he didnt start it out high, so more people would bid it up. It is a mental strategy really. And gives the seller confidence that they wont have to sell to a low bidder, on an off auction.

Yeah, and ebay even tells you when you go to sell that if you start the bid super low it usually sells higher.  He's just putting a reserve so he can tell someone to go suck it if it doesn't make the money he wants.  I am sure he'll have no problem getting his reserve price though.  It is ebay after all.

Hmm.  It's located in St. Louis and that copy for sale on CL was in Kansas City.  I'm sure that's just a coincidence.  :eyeroll:

I asked him if it was the CL listing in his area and he said it wasnt.
He said he has over 450 turbo games and 8 duos he wants to sell over time.
Very broken engrish.  His communications were like talking to wmac.

Yeah, maybe,  he has a couple of other selling names as well, sells many turbobs, you can tell by that same broken English writing.  (which by the way as far as I can tell, will magically get better if you ask a straight up question)

seriously! I don't see why people think this game is worth so much.

I mean, it is a good game. However, for the price of a used car? I don't think so.

He probably has a $50,000,000 reserve just to see how high it goes for, but doesn't really want to sell it.

$2000 for a loose Magical Chase? NO WAY THIS CAN BE A REAL PURCHASE.

I predict prices for boxed Magical Chases to skyrocket... soon enough people will start to trade Nintendo World Championships carts for a complete MC. :-({|=

The problem is I have been trying to get a decent shape game of said Japanese version for "<$100" and I can't seem to find one at that price.  I don't speak Japanese so I can't use YJA nor do I have the luxury of living there like some of you guys.

If you see them at that price, why not pick those up and sell them here?

I am hopefully going to pick up a few off YJA for just that purpose.  as soon as I have the time and funds.
