Post by: D-Lite on April 01, 2006, 11:06:28 AM
NEW NEW ADDITIONS:  SuperGrafx, list of loose HuCards, more!
NEW ADDITION:  HUGE game list!
read below....

OK, I'm in the midst of cleaning up a lot of extra stuff that I've never gotten around to listing.  And since I'll be moving to another house in about 3 months, I figured it's time to start selling some of the goods.

I'll be rolling out new stuff periodically including a list of some 200+ PCE games.  But please no e-mails/PMs looking for sneak peaks ;)

Prices for the systems include shipping by Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation.  I accept PayPal (credit card or transfer) or Money Orders.

Best bet in contacting me is directly by e-mail at dean@multimods.com or you could PM me, but e-mail is preferred.  I do have lots of accessories you can find listed at my site www.multimods.com (http://www.multimods.com/) in the NEC accessories section.

NEW STUFF

HUGE PC Engine HuCard list!!
I have a ton of loose HuCards available here, all Japanese.  There are two lists below, one sorted by Genre and one sorted by cost of the card.  On the list I have also indicated if Japanese is needed to play the game.  If it says "cinema", that means japanese is only necessary to understand the cutscenes.  Shipping is NOT included in the prices, but figure you can buy a lot of these suckers for only $5 in shipping.  Also, note that some of the games have a manual included.  The manuals are in generally very good condition and have a little piece of tape on them (from previous owner)
List by Genre (http://)
List by Cost (http://)

Steve I was really hoping you were able to get one of the briefcase set ups, since I know it's a dream machine of yours. Now you can't be cool like me :( .

I have heard of how the original CDROM2 systems can die easily from age. I hope you find a fix because I would be heart broken if mine broke.
Title: Sorry to brag about it

But I nabbed the last IFU-30 setup last night since it was an amazing price.  All I need to get is some fun Super CD games and some retro Hudson puzzlers like Chu-man-fu and Bomberman 94.

I wonder if the PSX to PCE adapter works with most wireless controllers.  You may know me in other forums as Matarick but I am here as MattC.

EXACTLY! :) I nearly cried when I got an email back from D-Lite informing me that they were no longer available. OK, I didn't cry, but I came damn close :).

I am probably going to get a SuperCDROM2 unit because I've never owned one of those before either -- heck, I've never even seen one in real life! It was only in the last year or two that I even realized the thing existed... I think dj898 pointed it out to me and I was like, "What?"

Back in the day, I remember seeing nearly all of the PCE consoles / configurations in U.S. magazines, but I don't recall seeing pics of SuperCDROM2, so.... I completely overlooked it.

Then, a few years ago, when I got back into video games, I'm sure Aaron had a pic of the SuperCDROM2 unit on his old Turbo pages, but I never paid much attention to it.  (That reminds me -- Aaron, you gotta put those hardware pics back up on the web!)

Of course, if I was smart, I should just save my money and wait for a PCE suitcase. That would be the smart thing to do...

Sorry stevek666 :(

I emailed D-lite on the briefcase setup as soon as I saw the post - it only had 3 views on it, but I didn't buy both. I've been looking for one of these for years, but was always getting snipped on ebay :x

Now I feel really horible.  I just wanted a  PCE CD setup for cheap and didn't know the briefcase bit was higly desired.  Ah well, I shall provide a great home for this system and start on my PC Engine collection.

Now if any of you peeps want to unload an R-Type or something.

No, don't worry about it :). I know I'll get a PCE suitcase one of these days. I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer :) ...

It will only play Japanese hu-cards since it is a Japanese system.

A question: what is a briefcase setup and why is it so sought after?

Told you it was a stupid question & one I should have already known the answer to  :(

Thanks for the answer though.

From my limited knowledge the Briefcase setup was just the PCE & CDR put together in a holder that had a lid & when closed down looked like a briefcase, with a carry handle.
Dont think there was any real changes other than that.

Just popular becuase it makes them look neater & are pretty rare setups I think.

Shipping to the UK for the SuperCDRom2 setup would be an additional $38 for EMS and $30 for Airmail.

Yeah, I refer to it as "briefcase" due to the handle and enclosed nature of the complete system.  They are desirable, but I'm a bit shocked at how desirable ;)

There is a "Briefcase" setup currently on UK Ebay but it is horribly yellowed & not one I would be interested in getting.

Sorry mate I was after the extra shipping cost for just the Boxed Core Grafx if it's still available the CD set is a little outta my price range at the mo :( (18-30's Holiday to Malia booked for May so should really be saving anyway...but cant ;) lol)

Oh I see. A "briefcase" setup is merely a PC Engine with the CD-ROM unit and the thing that connects them (I don't remember what it was called). That grey thing, is that a box for it? A "briefcase"?  :)
Title: FS: loose HuCards (BIG list),SuperGrafx, NeoGeoCD systems
Post by: Keranu on April 03, 2006, 09:26:33 AM
Yes, the grey thing is the part you simply place on top of the PCE+CD interface and it will latch on to the back of the interface unit so it transforms into a plastic briefcase  !! The handle is located under the interface unit, so simply pull that out and you are ready to talk a walk in the business world. I actually did walk down to my cousin's house down the street with it before like that, it was quite fun :D .

For gags, it'd be cool if you dressed in a business suit and went downtown with it. Have someone shoot a video of talking to other business men (aka Mr.Neck-ties) with briefcases  :D

GAME LIST:
I have made a big ass list of 200+ games (some are repeats) that I currently have available.  I have done my best to list it as complete as possible including condition ratings.  You will note that I don't have prices listed and that's because it would take me months to do so.  So no, prices are not listed.

What does that mean?  Well, how about this.  You pick the games you want (and please please specify the one you want by condition rating if there is multiple) and name a price, breaking it down by price.  Then I reply saying yes or with a counter offer also broken down by price.  Please add in shipping to that too (assume $5 as the low end by priority mail with delivery confirmation).  I am not looking to make a killing on the games.  Many will be fine at $2-3 each, but I'm not looking to get raped on the price either.  I have a ton to sell and there are actually more waiting to be catalogged!!!!  Including some 50-100 loose cards I haven't finished dealing with yet.

Games will be sold first come, first serve.  I will not hold games since I always get screwed in doing so.  First to commit (state they are sending payment within a set timeframe) gets the game.

So, with that:

The "briefcase set" is just the original PCE CD-ROM set. It has a cover casing with a handle so you can carry the set like a suit case.

Its not that sought after, but like the rest of the PCE CD-ROM's, its still pricey.

Do you still have these PCE Hucards for sale?  I'm thinking about picking up a cheap PC Engine or getting my US Duo modded to play imports, and there's a few games on your list I'd like to nab if they are still available.
