Title: Looking for TG/PCE figure or trinkets for game shelf
Post by: jperryss on September 22, 2013, 05:22:39 AM
Hi all,
My gaming bookcase consists of NES, SNES, and TG/PCE, and I'm trying to find a couple of TG/PCE related items to decorate the shelves with. The Nintendo shelves are adorned with some small stuffed figures I picked up at the NWS in New York, but I'd really like to find something for the two turbob shelves.

Anyone out there have anything they can point me to? I'd love to find a PC Genjin figure or something but am curious to see what's out there. Nothing crazy expensive, please.

Thanks!
JP

I don't have any of these, but I've always wanted to pick up some of the "Shooting Game Historica" miniatures.  They are little versions of popular shmup spaceships.  They have R-Type, Darius, Twinbee, and other PCE related ones.

EDIT: I just wanted to add that the link I provided was mainly for informational purposes.  You can also find them on amazon.com and ebay.

Thanks for that! Not specifically turbob-based but very PCE-relevant as far as the games these are based off of.

Check out the Keith Courage figure in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvkg02FZ_dQ).

Also neat! I just checked eBay for Spirit Wataru figures and they are going for a bit more than I'm ready to spend.

I also found there really wasn't that much in the way of merchandise to display.  So I made my own.

I have paper craft (http://www.harlancore.com/blog/?p=693) Zonk, Bonk, black and white Bombermen, Doraemon, Adol, and Gillian Seed (with Metal Gear) sitting on my shelf.  I can't find it now, but Doraemon also came from that site; Adol and Gillian came from somewhere else, but I don't remember where.  :-k

there's a legend of valkyrie statue namco released a while back. There's also several twin bee, gradius, and salamader statues and kits out there. There's not much specific pc engine stuff but the popular series which had games for pce you can usually find cool stuff for

Is THIS (http://www.harlancore.com/blog/?p=693) where you got it from? If so I had no idea Adol and Doraemon were there too, I need to dig more.

edit: Uh yeah. So I can't see links for shit on this site, my apologies. :)

I found where Gillian (http://www.harlancore.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1090) and Adol (http://www.harlancore.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1084) came from (hit 'next' to get the printable sheet).  That dude has tons of different gaming related lil papercraft guys, but those are the only two I saw that are Turbob related.

I'd like to make a offer but it looks used with some white stuff on it.  I'm afraid you fapped to your magical chase and you left a little present behind.
