Title: For the Override fans
Post by: SuperDeadite on October 06, 2013, 02:50:16 PM
Little known fact, while Override came out in 1990.  Sting decided to remake the game for the X68000 computer a year later.  It's still very obscure, and there were no real videos of it on youtube.  So I uploaded one.  Kinda neat to see the changes, and a must play if you like the original.

I need an X68000. NOW.

Override is such a fast and furious game on the PCE.

Ha! Never knew about this.

Can't wait to compare them.

Do you have CyberCore for the X68000? Hint, hint  (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

Of course I do.  And it also has better graphics, but it's about 10x harder too.  :(

It looks like quite a different game. almost like a sequel rather than a port :)

Override is a great game, I almost sold mine for a stupid reason.  Glad I didn't.

Are you telling me I have to search Nico Nico for a video created by a stranger? Damn it! CYBERCORE, you are an average game that I adore for some reason.

BACK ON TOPIC: I watched the OVERRIDE video in its entirety whilst eating dinner and trying to ignore my daughter and wife watching "Dancing With a Stars" (I told them to resist this silly show, but they ignored my pleadings).

Anyway, I posted a comment on YouTube...and though I may have been a bit overdramatic, I really thought you were going to pull it off and beat the "BOSS PARADE" (were you close? Have you gotten further since uploading the footage?)

Anyway, lots of nice touches in OVERRIDE X68...polished presentation overall...

I will do a Cybercore vid, but it really is insanely hard.

As for LB, after the boss rush is the real stage 5 boss, then stage 6 comes.  I haven't played it since making this vid, the work is too busy.

Cybercore is one of the most rad game names ever created. Always loved it since the first time I've read about it in a game mag back in around 1990.

I remember how happy I was when I picked it up for $29.99 (or thereabouts) back in the day. Courtesy ELECTRONICS BOUTIQUE.
