Since Ys for the duo was never "CIC" (came in an envelope), you'll never find it.

Anyway, I have a dupe copy with a high quality Sparky insert (not original manual).  Disc has some very minor surface scratches, and plays perfectly

If you live in the US, I'll ship it for $25 (paypal "gift").

Like Gate of Thunder, pack-in Ys came in a white case without the back liner thing but with a manual (but not in the case, oddly).

Crap. You are right. The white case. Not envelope.

OK. So I'm confused. What is a sparky insert? And why isn't the case white?

Sparky is a member here that makes super quality inserts and labels.  I don't have a spare manual, but his insert works just as good.
And the case isn't white because its black.

They did, but I don't have it.
PM me if you want it. I bet I could find a white jewel case if you need it.

The game was also sold in a retail box with case etc and says Turbo Grafx CD instad of Duo on it.  As far as I know the two games are identical other than the disc label and packaging.

Well the reason I was asking for the duo version specifically is that I read that the duo version has enhanced/expanded cut scenes, to take advantage of the newer hardware.

Anyone know?

Xseed has released updated versions for steam/vita but those are not turbobs and you should not be playing non turbobs.  ;)

HAHA, saw this post after I PM'd you.  I guess the stencil was still attached.
That came with a TM board I bought about 10 years ago.  I have had it in my sticker box since '03 or '04
