Preferably the U.S version unless the Japanese version is bilingual...
-
All LaserActive games are bilingual (if released in English) except for I believe Goku and Don Quixote due to the amount of text involved.
Good luck on the hunt, Triad Stone is one of the better games for the system!

I just can't bring myself to pay $100+ the going rate on ebay. Not only that, but its a used copy too...
-
last few Triad stones in Japan go for about ¥8000 so you are probably gonna save finding a complete JP copy
-
I used to play this game all the time when I would hang around Incredible Universe way back in the day.
Power power power! Good luck finding what you want!

Triad Stone is totally bilingual. The language will default to the PAC region, however you can select either in the options menu, so it can be played in English or Japanese no matter what version and no matter what PAC combo you choose to use.
And if you actually have bought an LA and PAC, you would be a fool to not spend $100 on Triad Stone. Seriously, spend all that to get the setup then not spend another $100 to get one of the best games on the system? Lunacy imo. Of the 3 "anime action games" on the system: Triad Stone, Road Blaster, Time Gal... Triad Stone is the best of them by far. The most fun, the best gameplay, a must own. The other truly must buy imo is Vajra 2, but good luck getting that one these days....

I am with SuperD with this one, 90%! The game is on ebay in the U.S. in the $80-$100 range at least once every other month and it is well worth the cost. I wouldn't pay over $120 for the game on the high end, because it historically hasn't been worth that much, but if you see it in the sub-$100 level don't be afraid to hit the BIN button.
The reason I said 90%? I love the art and mad max punk setting of Road Prosecutor and I think it is the best Dragon's Lair type game on the system. BUT! From a value per dollar perspective, you absolutely CANNOT beat Triad Stone. It should be the first game every U.S. LA buyer picks up.

Well if someone is wiling to part with it for around $100, I'll definitely bite.

Patience is your friend, one will show up eventually. Also, if you're looking to play instead of just pure collecting don't worry about grabbing one with an obi. Without an obi prices go a lot lower in my experience.
