I was just looking at my Bonk collection and couldn't help but notice that Hudson's adorable, titanium-craniumed, little caveman has journeyed to a multitude of consoles that span a few gaming generations.

Bonk in 1990 on the TG-16

Bonk, nearly a decade and a half later, on the Playstation 2
What other characters started exclusively on the TG/PC/Duo and ended up staking claim on other gaming machines?

Bomberman hit his stride on the Turbo, and ended up getting 5 games on the SNES. wtf?
Master Higgins was somewhat different as he merely got one game on the Turbo, and then migrated.
Rick Taylor of Splatterhouse can be argued (two Genesis sequels).
The Crush series got Jaki Crush only on SNES.
idk if R-Type counts. Both R-type II (sort of) and R-Type III only on SNES.
Shockman got a 4th game on the SNES.
Valis series?

Richter and Maria
Tengai Makyou
Gulliver Boy
Gekisha Boy

Lords of Thunder
Cyber Knight
Benkei Gaiden
Cho Aniki

I always wondered why the SNES got more Bomberman games than the TG/Duo. IIRC, the TG got Bomberman, 93', and 94'. The SNES got 6 or 7 of them. I guess adding 'Super' to the titles made them more marketable somehow. lol

The Super Famicom/SNES got two Bonk games (Chou-Genjin).
Would of loved to see an Air Zonk (PC Denjin) game on the SNES.
A Super Famicom Kato Chan & Ken Chan game would have been fun.
I also wish Dracula X on the SNES was a better game, as mentioned before this such a missed opportunity.

Dorabotchan, Dungeon Explorer, Nectaris, Cosmic Fantasy and others got their start on the PCE/Turbo.
Some others, like Valis, Bomberman, etc. don't count as they came out in arcades or home computers first.
-
as for bomberman, he was around already many years before hitting the PCE on vairous systems like PC-8801, X1, MSX, FC etc. but undoubtly the bombermans on the PCE were the best as well the first really good ones of that serie.
as for bonk/pc-genjin, that one had its birth on the PCE for sure, but was ported to many other systems already in a very early stage like GB, FC, SFC, Amiga to name a few.

Millitary Madness/Nectaris. I'm pretty sure the first game or 2 was on the PCE first, & not on any computers?

The first game was ported to X68000, but began on PCE. Unless you count it as s rebranded Famicom Wars.

Bonk's Adventure appearing on the NES and Gameboy was like Sonic appearing on a Nintendo console... It was SO weird!! WHY HUDOSON!?!?
-
Don't forget about the YS series also being all over the place. X68000, Sega master system, famicon, Super nintendo, ps2 etc...
-
I think Ys started out on the PC88 though IIRC.
-
sure thing not on the PCE.

Hudson as a longterm famicom game developer still supported the famicom, even after they released the PCE.. that became even stronger again, once the SFC was released.

Moto Roader would have been awesome on another console
