Title: PC Engine Duo Region Mod - Just to Clarify
Post by: wyndcrosser on November 29, 2013, 11:37:34 AM
Just to clarify,

On my Duo-r, I will need to Ground the 29 pin on the HuC6280 out? Or is there something else someone else has found out to wouldn't have me killing my machine in the future when the mod might be removed.

The lines are for my benefit, ignore them.

Pin 30 is already grounded. I just bridge pin 29 & 30 tougher.

Just for anyone else doing this mod, bridging pin 29 and 30 does work. I also pulled the ground for the Region Mod PCB from a local Capacitor.

Everything works.

It only works on DUO-Rs though right? Don't you still have to lift it and ground elsewhere on pc engines and original pc engine DUO systems?

That's right.

It's works on pce duo and duo-r. For the regular pce, no need to lift, just ground it. For the GT, you jump the two pads, TE has a jumper resistor (0 ohm) there.
