STATUS:
(1) I want the Dr. Who XMAS shirt, too.
(2) I don't think I've ever seen a Gremlins ornament—awesome.
(3) Galam's house is clean. The twins are not destroying the room.
(4) Nullity, Santa Vodka helped me through the day.
(5) I need coffee right now to drink with my toasty warm HuCARDs.

Dr. Who and Vag shirts are awesome!
I'm lazy and do absolutely nothing by way of holiday decorating; the closest I can get is the pile of presents that grew in the corner.

These are all my Christmas fav's ... My favorite ornaments, my favorite place in the house, my favorite gift, and my favorite little girl at her new art station.
For those wondering, the gift is a quilt made from some of my old concert shirts, given to me by my mother in law. She rocks as much as this blanket!!
-
With that supply of Hershey Kisses beside her she'll be at that art table for at least a couple hours. :)

Haha! And after a few, the whole house will become her canvass.

You should have seen her with skittles dispensing Santa.... She really gave that thing hell! Its OK because Santa also brought her a new hello kitty toothbrush and toothpaste :)

That is one sweet quilt, toymachine!

Thanks! I love it. The best and most original gift I've gotten in a long time. Gotta thank my wife . It was her idea, but the mother in law found the woman to do it and paid for it. My wife got me the Castlevania Collection that just came out on the 360.

Doesn't that hurt!? The only thing worse is stepping on a piece of rawhide the dog's been chewing on all night.... Squish... Ewwwwwe.... :-&

Those pieces get everywhere. The cats will snatch an ear or a pair of glasses and the next thing you know I'm slipping down the stairs.
Also, if you have Potato Heads from different eras, the pieces are EVER-SO-SLIGHTLY different sizes, making them frustrating to use. In theory, a "giant box o' potatën hëden" sounds great (like a giant bin of Legos).... I'd put this in the RANT thread but I feel better now that I vented.

Hehe, my kids also got Potato Heads for xmas. :)

I am slightly surprised with the continued popularity of certain toys.
Also, why has the company never created MONSTER or ALIEN or _________ variants? Or have they?

Ive def seen KISS and star wars themed varieties.

Iron Man, Looney Tunes, and tater versions of other Toy Story characters too.

I'm actually impressed y'alls children play with toys. My oldest son (12) liked power rangers, beyblade, and plastic animals(mainly dinosaurs), but he quickly grew out of them. the minute he figured out how to work the PS2 toys were out the door.
My other two, 8 and 3, have never really liked toys. I guess they are victims of the digital age. Its a shame really, because I remember how much fun I had with my star wars, GI Joe, and he man toys. The battles and the level of imagination were epic! At least in my little bubble :)
-
I don't let my kids have too much exposure to that kind of thing. Aside from that, they have very active imaginations, and I cultivate those imaginations. Furthermore, they do not attend the drone assembly line known as public school; I school them myself, so they are not saturated in the overcommercialized outer world. Sure, my girls play video games from time to time and now both of them have tablets of their own, but they still prefer imaginative play with normal toys.
-
We had family visit us from Kansas. Here are some pictures of my two girls and one of their cousin from Kansas. I didn't take much pictures. After opening the present, we drove down to orlando and spend the rest of Christmas in universal studio.

The worst is cat puke. Nothing better than chewed up Meow Mix thrown up on the floor and a bare foot mushing into it.

I hear ya. My kids are only 2 and 4, and they have had exposure to iPhone's App's, but I'm trying to keep "old school" toys alive. LEGO is still very popular in my house. Transformers (Rescue Bots) was the big item this year for my son. Unfortunatley, my 2 year old daughter has fallen into the Disney Princesses trap. Clever marketing on Disney's part. We had Disney for generations, and the princesses in those movies forever, but it's only recently that Disney took them all and added the "Princess" line of toys. Genius on their part. I refuse to allow my daughter to fall into the trampified versions of Disney Fairies. Tinkerbell and her gang of hooker fairies are not permitted in the house.
I try to push Hot Wheels, LEGO, and other classic toys on the kids. I only wish they'd bring back the Fisher-Price Adventurer line of toys. Fisher-Price has rebooted some of their toys like the old record player, and branded them "old-school", but anyone thinking of buying them should avoid them. The record player runs on batteries and it's no where close to the original except looks-wise.

I knew I didn't have cats for a reason lol :)

My most favorite car (shhh...don't tell the others I love Mr. Missy the most) has permanent tuna fish breath. It's so bad, Jesus would forsake him, but I haven't (yet).

SPECIFICALLY ABOUT TEELA'S SECRET.

Looks like your doggy wants to come out and play with you.
-
At least people around you are prepared for this sort of snow event. Here we've gotten 10" + three times in three weeks. Plowing has been minimal. Salting has only occured on state and US roads. Now it's been fine since you know it's 50 and raining a few days after and the snow has quickly dissapeared, except you know today when it's well below freezing and everything is cover in ice. Futhermore you can't find decent snow shovels or snow wear in any store. I kid you not, I just ordered a snow shovel off the internet since ours happened to get run over.
-
No snow here, but DAMN its cold. When its colder in South Carolina than Alaska, there is a problem!
