Title: Maze of Galious thread.
Post by: lukester on December 26, 2013, 02:01:30 PM
Enlighten me on this lost masterpiece!

Not much info on it. I love wonder boy, so is it good? Does it need a guide? What is the best way to play it.

On a side note, knightmare kicks ass.

From what I've played of it and what I've seen online, it seems like a pretty awesome game, kind of like Zelda 1 mixed with an action/platformer. It also is EXTREMELY difficult. I don't see how anyone could finish it without either a manual or a lot of hints. Or both.

It was also the direct inspiration for an indie game by the name of La-Mulana, which is also good, but possibly even HARDER. If you like Galious, give this one a try.

Arak, would you recommend a map too? Or to make one as you go...

Moar questions.

Is a Japanese version playable? It is much cheaper.
Map making strategies for a noob?
Hints I should know?
Are there saves?

Uh oh, now that the Famicom connection was made, I am far more interested in it.  (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

Sad, but true.

I finished the Japanese MSX one.  It's not that bad.

What I did for map making was hit print screen and keep photoshop open.   Paste-->go!

there is a password system but not sure how well that will help you as you would probably die between those rooms if this is your first run.
