Post by: Expio on July 21, 2001, 10:11:00 AM
This message board needs some publicity, its just too small.

I've been telling anybody I think would be interested. Anyone have ideas how to build up the member numbers?

Maybe it would be nice to post some advices on Trû's Message Board (pub43.ezboard.com/btrusturboisos89372), (http://pub43.ezboard.com/btrusturboisos89372),) which is certainly THE Forum regarding on PC-ENGINE! (http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif)

Take care,

The board is still new since it was changed over from just being a Pcenginefx.com-only board.  Give it some time.  In the mean-time, everyone's help at spreading the word is helpful, and I'm continuing to get the site listed at more and more places (which will help).

Hey Aaron, I was digging through the archives and found this thread.  I have a few suggestions on where to promote this board and PCENGINEFX.COM in general.

TOONZONE (http://forums.toonzone.net/) --> A HUGE community relating to talking about cartoons and other things.  I have an account there as well.  The Video Games section of the board gets frequent visitors too.
VAN VON HUNTER (http://www.pseudome.net/phpBB2) --> although this is a webcomic forum, it has a big subsection for all aspiring Manga artists courtesy of Tokyopop's RISING STARS contests.  People there are avid gamers too so give that board a shot. :)
DAIZENSHUU EX (http://db.schuby.org/daizex/) --> While I don't have an account on this site, it's a site frequented by Dragonball Z fans and there are some fans who are familiar with the Dragonball Z games for the Turbo Duo.

This community isn't THAT small, and besides, the smaller it is, the fewer jackasses it has. :D

Yes.  I pride myself with being one of only 2 or 3 jackasses here.  It is easy to get the attention I crave.  With a bigger community, I'd have to be even more outlandish and troll more to satisfy my attention whore needs.

That's exactly what this board needs, some Dragon Ball Z fans.

Was that sarcasm? Besides, if you think that board had some pissy DBZ fanboys, that's nothing compared to the peeps at this site (http://www.dbzoa.net/). :P

Yeah that was sarcasm, the only thing worse than rabid Dragon Ball Z fans are people from the forums at N-sider.com.
