I hope it is 1/20th of first two games, but I am certainly intrigued by the rebirth of an ancient series. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

Yeah, I played the bejeezus out of the first 2 Star Control games bitd.  It looks like they are taking great care with how this one materializes.  Knock on wood.

Holy crap! That's AWESOME! I played a lot of that open source version of Star Control 2 and loved it (even though I never got very far), so if they manage to pull this new game off well, I will definitely buy it.

You should play it all the way through.  It gets better and better as you progress further along.

On that note, if anyone needs it I can scan the hint manual.

Few games struck me as hard as Star Control 2. I hope the new developers can run with their imaginations and create the best damn game they can. They appear to be fans so the future definitely seems bright.
