Hi all, looking to buy the thicker style PCE CD cases like the kind that come with Monster Maker, Arcade Card Pro, and others.
I need about 3 of them in good/nice condition.
Thanks!

you have to buy cheap monster and princess maker games and use them :)
-
Lol, yea. Trying to avoid that if people have switched theirs out before I do so. =)
-
I believe wizardry 1&2 does as well.

Looks like these so called "CDワイドプラケース (CD Waidopurake-su, "CD Wide Plastic Case") are still made brand new in Japan. I am working with a fellow forum member to get a hold of some. Nice and sturdy for Dreamcast and PS1 Games if you ask me.

Nice find, M.G. I think there's quite a few of us that could use at least a couple of those bigger cases.
-
Don't take credit for the two bottom links as these were shared with me. =]
For sure man, I for one am tired of the cheap-feeling cases. The biggest gripe about these are that they are thicker and don't always fit into CD slots but if you use bookshelves for your games, you're good to go!
-
Are these just made of thicker plastic like the jewel cases that these games came with in the first place, or is there some other difference? If they're just higher-quality cases, perhaps we should do a group buy or something?
-
It's the thickness of the complete case that's different. Normal jewel cases are 10mm thick, but those for a few titles are somewhat thicker (12mm thick according to MG's links). Who knows if these new ones have thicker walls like older cases or not, but I suspect they're thin if they're actually being manufactured new and not NOS.
-
When I get these, I will compare it to my Arcade Card PrO case and post my findings here.

I would use a good 5-10 of these 12mm cases myself. If a group buy happens count me in.
