This is just the new name for the Gaikai service they purchased ages ago. It's sort of the Netflix of video games, or will be, I guess. It will allow for the streaming of games from PS3, PS2, etc., on Vita, PS4, tablets, and smartphones.
Granted many (most?) of the games won't be optimal for playing on tablets/smartphones, but that's only one aspect of the service. Also, once better iOS7 and Android controllers hit (and don't suck), it'll probably be much more appealing.

Any game not affected by input lag would do just nice. Now I just need more internets...

I recall the Gaikai bit. I'm sure it's gonna rock in JP. Since here in the US our connections SUCK; well good luck Sony.
The Vita now just became a bit more interesting.

You're complaining with a full stomach and doesn't even know, I have an awful 240 kb/s download rate and many people have less where I live. :P

I hear ya. The topic does involve streaming and JP and some parts of Europe beat the snot out of US connections.

I guess this is neat. But i don't see myself using it very much. If i want to play an only ps1 game, cant i just download from PSN ?

I imagine it could be a way to break down the price barrier and diversify where games are accessed. Supposedly Sony will be putting out Bravia tv's with this service already built in. Think of international markets.

This is going to put Game Stop and Game Fly out of business. PS1-2-3-4 Games all on a cloud and streaming to a Vita? Did anyone happen to catch Game stops Stock Prices??

Sort off. I recall reading several articles talking about the future of gaming. The gist was a Roku like box, or TV integrated streaming gaming services from a MASSIVE cluster of server machines. As well as powerful mobile devices. Phones, tablets, dedicated portable game systems, watches. Games, games, games everywhere.
The next home consoles won't ever reach our living rooms. They'll be in super cold server rooms. I imagine the mobile bubble should be popping soon. Specially after seeing all the stuff at CES.
Personally, I don't care for that.
