Title: I put together some PCE/Turbo music for you to enjoy. :)
Post by: _joshuaTurbo on January 13, 2014, 08:11:27 AM
It's nothing special really, just something you might be interested in popping in your car/phone/headphones/rocket ship for a listen or two.

Coolio!  Thank you guys so much for the kind words... Now, anyone with any criticisms?  I've heard that my rambling is slightly annoying and also that I should put more thought into what I'm saying between songs.  Perhaps write down dialog and just deliver it rather than just winging it.  My plan is to have more of a theme for each 'episode' going forward and that Episode 0 is more of a test to see how many Obey tracks I can fit into a reasonable file size.

I have ideas for a few themes already for each episode, but could use some ideas/advice moving forward.  Also, I want to do some 'Obey talk' features via skype with people, so please let me know if you'd like to converse/argue/laugh with me on one of these things.  :)

Again, thank you for the kind words!!

PS:  In the first 24 hours we hit 154 listens/downloads!!

SUCCESS!

Falcom and Red themed episodes, please.

Also, please equalize the volume between tunes and voice bits.

Nice work!

Listened to this on my way to work today. Very nice, a great selection of tunes that are not what people might typically pick - which is a good thing as I got to hear tracks I'm not overly familiar with and haven't heard in some time.

I didn't really deserve the praise heaped upon me at the end but I would give you some advice - do it your way, with what you would like to hear and don't worry too much about other people's opinions. If they like it then fine, if not, tough. As long as you enjoy doing it. :D

I think I've been pretty clear that I *love* your podcast. But if you're up for a little constructive criticism, I'd be willing to share my thoughts.  Either here publicly or via PM.  Really, nothing major and all personal opinion. :)

Thank you to everyone's interest!  Episode Zero had nearly 250 downloads/listens in the last 4 weeks and was ranked in the top 50 video game podcasts on podomatic!  I thought that was pretty great.  :)

Really great to hear that you enjoyed it.  I didn't mean to gush or heap too much about your PCE city podcasts, but I really do love them... haha.

Anyone care to try the official first episode?

iTunes?

I never really thought about that.  Would anyone with an iTunes account or whatever is needed want to upload/share it there?

I hereby boycott this unprofessional, error-prone show.

UNACCEPTABLE. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgsad.png)

I wish I were joking.

Another great episode, joshua!

My only critique would be to leave out the adult language in future episodes.  My son and I listen to PC Engine City CONSTANTLY because it's SFW.  You caught me off-guard with the "dramatic reading" bit and now I'm not sure I'll share this one with the kiddo.

Aside from that, top notch all around!

I'm thinking of re-editing Ep 1 to leave out the 'Dramatic Reading' bit along with putting the 3x3 Eyes track....

I started diddling with Ep's 2 and 3, but shouldn't be too much trouble to go back and make a "SE" version of the premier.

:)
