hello, thanks for letting me join this site. My name is Tony, and I've had my TurboGrafx since it first came out. i started watching Spida's youtube page about a year ago and decided to blow the dust off my own collection. i only had about 10 games, as the town i grew up in was small and the store i originally bought it from quickly stopped carrying it. the closest Toys R Us was about 45 min away, so i then bought the Genesis. but I always thought the TurboGrafx was just cooler and more unique than the Genesis. anyways, i am up to about 40 games now and recently found your site. glad to see this system is finally appreciated the way i always thought it should be. i was literally the only person i knew in my high school that had one of these back in the day.
anyways, love the site and i will be a frequent visitor.

Welcome with big hugs.... Genny sucks compared to the tg16

so here's the collection so far. just picked up Jackie chan (instructions but not real case), Dragon's curse complete, Ordyne (case but no instructions), and Pac-Land complete this week at local used video game store for $60. I thought that was pretty good, and i was just surprised because nobody has TurboGrafx games around here (Tampa, FL)
I have Klax, Bloody Wolf, Blazing Lazers, and Andre Panza all complete coming from a cool seller on Ebay that made me a deal.
also ordered loose copies of Yo Bro and JJ and Jeff as well.
got a few japanese games that my brother found cheap at a store in NYC although i don't have a converter and i have It came from the Desert and don't have a Duo or CD attachment, but hopefully will one day.
it does get a little addictive, but i'm trying to find bargains and i know i will never have all of them.

Welcome lukin3,
I am also new to this forum group. It is cool seeing that there are other fans out there and this forum gives us the opportunity to meet, chat, and share our experiences.

Dude, this is a great start to TG-16. I always encourage folks to keep things simple and cheap. It's nice, I think, to start with TG-16 hardware.
A fellow member has a very low-cost way to play imports on TG-16 (Chopsado), and yet another member will (hopefully) have a mass-produced, easily-accessible implementation of it very soon:

Later, when you know you want to dive into CD games, you will get (probably) a Japanese DUO.
So, enjoy TG-16 today. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)
