This is such a great idea.

I've been using the Enki program on my android and some PDF's from Tofugu to learn my Kanji as well as Youtube videos.
Danny Choo has Moekana and Kanji as well.
These look to be a great addition. Gonna look into it more. I hope to one day be able to play PC E games and know WTF they are saying. Just cause dang it!

Interesting concept, but I already have a 2nd language (Greek), my brain is already filled-up and to seriously try to learn something like Japanese, with the terrible, Chinese logographic language system of making a symbol for damn near everything (instead of a Roman-style alphabet, fixed number of characters, ~26, etc.), it just looks way too daunting... It would be torture. I even bought a stupid Learn Japanese 4 CD set ages ago, hardly ever even touched it. I know it's been patched up with Katakana for foreign words, and Romanji, but still, that's all patches and keeps a bad idea for a system of writing ongoing... Meh.

This is such an amazing idea. It's a shame I'm too stupid to learn from it.

EXACTLY!

My problem is I have noone to play it with so it won't benefit me, even though it's an excellent idea.
The solo mode would likely be a bit boring and not much different than current ways I could fumble through learning it, lol.

The problem with learning any language is if you aren't using what you're leaning in every day life it's going to be harder to keep moving forward. Interaction is a big part of learning.
EDIT: Now that I stop to think (derp) the card game itself is interactive.
BTW that dude totally destroyed his goal.
