Look up Game Force and Buy Back Games   those are the only two retro store chains I remember.

Game Force in Boulder is probably the coolest shop we have. Plus Boulder is an awesome town. Buy Back is cool, the one I was at recently had good prices but a poor selection. No turbob. :(

Then there's Doc's. They actually have two locations pretty close to one another out in Aurora. Great selection, both locations generally have Turbo and PC Engine stuff. The people there are friendly and knowledgable, at least the last time I was there. Having said that their prices went retarded and their constant spamming of craigslist pisses me off. I haven't been back in quite some time.

I'm guessing a cab to Boulder or Aurora would be pretty pricey. :( You are staying pretty close to an Illegal Pete's though which is the best place to eat on the planet. :D

If you get a chance, you might want to take the lightrail downtown and check out the 1up barcade.

The DTC is a pretty nice area, and the Marriott is pretty nice.  I go up there every year for an anime convention and they're well organized.  There is a place near there called Larkburger that is a bit pricey but has REALLY good burgers in my opinion, they also have these delicious Parmesan Truffle fries.

Anyway, as to game shops there is also a place called Game Source that has two locations, one south by me in and one up in Littleton.  Their prices are always pretty fair from my experience and they have pretty decent stock.  I've been to one Game Force location as well and they were pretty nice too.

Enjoy the city, if you can get downtown there is some neat stuff there too.

Sorry for the late reply! They have a couple locations, but the only one I've been to is Blake St. They are definitely open on Sundays. :D

Denver is my least favorite place I have visited in the last 5 years.

I hate to say it because I like Beamer a lot and for some reason that is heaven to him, but I really didn't see anything appealing there.

However, maybe I missed out on a gaming store holy grail, in which case Denver might be awesome?  Plus now there is pot gummy bears, if that is your thing.

In all truth... Denver is just another big city.  Its a place to live and work while you enjoy the rest of what Colorado has to offer.  :)

Yeah, grew up in Illinois and I live in Colorado now, but Denver is not my favorite part about it.  The mountains, hiking, and all sorts of stuff that lets you see the natural beauty of the state is what has kept me here.

Denver's not a bad city. The downtown area is stupid and we need places like Fry's Electronics, In and Out and a few other places. Things also need to remain open for more hours instead of being afraid of the dark and closing down as early as they can. John Denver was created by the city itself. He is (was) the living embodiment of Denver. He is our hero and if he is not your favorite musician of forever then we will ostracize and torture you. It is law here for him to be your favorite.

Boulder is stupid. I mean it has a nice game shop but other than that it's nothing special. At least Denver has the Platte River you can drown in.

The band I was in about 15 years ago went through Denver and played at a place called Cricket on the Hill. Not sure if it still exists, but that was a fun, fun show and the people were awesome. We stayed at a house nearby and though we didn't get to see much of Denver, the folks we met there gave me a really good impression of the town. I'd love to go back sometime.

BBG has two locations, but there is one a bit south in Englewood that I don't think is too far from the DTC.

Definitely.  We will have to get a little retro meet up going.  Should be enough people even just on this forum to make things happen.
