I am way too cheap to even consider any of these!

Judging by how fast these are moving, this must be a pretty good sale.

Well when it comes to helping other people in the community, sometimes people will pay more. Being cheap is one thing but when it comes to helping someone else's kids, it kind of changes how you look at things.  If my money was right I would have bought more than 2 games from him... The 2 big games will most likely end up on e-bay due to the high price.

Wait...$800 is a "decent price" for Super Air Zonk? I guess I'll scratch that one off my list of games I'll own someday... (WTF?) But hey, on the bright side, I'm apparently sitting on a goldmine of Turbo games. Can't wait til retirement!

I'm not complaining about price, but since when is Camp California a $150.00 game?  I never thought it was rare by any means.  Is it really that rare?  I never expected to see it listed along side titles like Terraforming, Bonk 3 CD, Dungeon Explorer II, Cotton, and Might and Magic 3.

Title: Re: TurboGames for sale (won't be cheap but good price)
Post by: madboom0522 on March 31, 2014, 01:08:16 PM
I wondered that myself but it seems to sell between $150 and $200 whenever it shows up. I guess it was not a very popular game so does not show up to often. I guess price is what people are willing to pay for something.... Not always a fair one though. I'm sure some of the games no one ever thought would sell for what they do. You don't have to be an expert to realize that it's still to damn much.

Yes, thanks for offering "the community" a chance to pay full ebay BIN prices.  We're falling all over ourselves to help out a douche that has no use for the forum other than to turn a buck.

Yeah, what a f--king hero, complete with a "story" about his poor "starving" or "roofless" kids. "You don't like my prices?? But but, it's for the children! I'm doing it all for the children, how can you be against that ??" Also like his preemptive "Please save it!" comment because every greedy profiteer believes once they make a sale thread here, they're entitled only to positive/supportive comments in it... "Don't like it, then stay out of MY thread, don't judge me!! Let me find a sucker that's willing to pay my ripoff rates in peace!" So he basically sold his wares high and escaped eBay fees to boot... Even nickel'n'dimed on shipping costs. Pffffft. But hey, "most I can do is 10% off" if you purchase a 2nd game from him at THOSE rates at least... What a guy!

Im one of very trust anal person in this community.

What's that you say ? Anal, as in you like bending the buyer over and to trust you while doing so ? Freudian slip there ? ;)  New term: "anal trust" - "C'mon baby, just trust me! You might even enjoy it!"

I'm not complaining about price, but since when is Camp California a $150.00 game?

Since people can´t wait for one to pop up somewhere. There´s no way that I am willing to pay THAT much for it.

But as long as someone thinks it´s worth it someone else will think it is....  ](*,)

Thick enough, I don't let the internet piss me off. I don't have time to be pissed off by a forum and a few people on it that want to bitch and complain about something at all times because their life sucks and they have nothing better to do. I have more than my fair share of real life problems and I don't let comments from people I don't know get to me. If only the whole world thought that way huh?

Now I do think the prices are high, and would never pay that for them, but I always said, It's only worth what someone is willing to pay.

$350 - Super Air Zonk

and now, 11 months later, you want:

Super Air Zonk - $800 - sold

"Won't be cheap, but good price... FOR ME!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Yes, good price indeed.

Then there's this:
Im a more of collector now.  I used to be game freak!..  I became a family man and hardly have time to play games anymore!.

got 3 kids on board!

This fund goes to my kids where they can sleep in a house.  I hope u ll understand.  Thanks !!!

You know what, "bud" ? I had a much longer, more inflammatory post just for your sorry butt, but I changed my mind. I wanted to say this, I simply find you very repugnant... I do, and I thought I should make that very clear. I hope you also got well roasted at the NeoGeo forums personally.

You reminded me of someone actually: Benny. The "Hey, I got 5, no 4, kids to feed!" Benny from the original Total Recall (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100802/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2) movie, the good one, not the remake. So Benny is a greedy traitorous f--k that befriends and then betrays the story's hero and people like himself (mutants) all for the money... He had a key line when he first meets the hero (Quaid) which was, "Hey, man, I got five kids to feed!" to manipulatively steer Quaid into his cab instead of his nearby competitor, and again with a bar that'd give him kickbacks ($$) for referrals over the one that Quaid really needed to visit. Here he goes:

Well, by the end of the movie, Benny failed to keep his story straight about his kid count:
Quote
Douglas Quaid: Benny? Why?
Melina: How can you do this? You're a mutant.
Benny: [shrugs] I got four kids to feed.
Douglas Quaid: So what happened to number five?
Benny: [beat] Aw, shit, man! You got me. I'm not even married. Now, shut up and put your f*cking hands in the air!

So, what's my point ? 1) Your sell "story" or shtick really did remind me of Benny, 2) I think you're a greedy repugnant f--k, 3) I wouldn't trust your ass as far as I could throw you, 4) I'd wager some of what you listed sold wasn't but done so just so you can drop propaganda about new ceilings for game prices, 5) Who gives a shit about your kids, even if you are to be believed, it's manipulative on its face and insulting to the viewer's intelligence, 6) You're barely literate, Mr. "Im trust anal," but I'll give you one thing, you know dollar $$$$ signs, that's for damn sure! That use of Gollum in your signature was a perfect touch to one of the worst PCEFX members I have ever seen here! Congrats, that's my personal award to you! Worst PCEFX Member 2014 Award! You're welcome.

I always liked Total Recall.  I thought it was great as a teenager, I watched the movie several times and had the novelization written by Piers Anthony iirc.  I never thought it was a great triumph of cinema or anything,  but reading "The good one, not the remake" sure made me laugh a bit.

Never saw the remake as I heard it was bad and decided after seeing the second Transformers movie to not watch new stuff just because it has the same name as things I enjoyed as a kid.

Yeah, there was a big stink about that back when he bought it.  I don't get what the big deal is... $5k on "half" dot com... makes sense to resell it for $10k, right?
8 grand is what he had it listed for. Not sure who has 8 grand to blow on a "rare" game but there you have it.

loving turbo community.  All I can say is.  I am selling them toward to house payment and sells them at current market price.  If encomy market puts magical chase to 50 dollars then ill sell it at that price.  If it sells for 1,000,000 then ill sell that price.

I am selling current fair market.  I am sure many of you sitting on the shit loads of turbos games which you guys bought for 10 dollars and when time hit and you realize you need money for 5 kids to feed.  I will bet you for Magical chase u will sell 10% less what is current market for.    Will you sell what you bought it in 1990?

It s part of life.  Look at the house market.. it used to sell for 5,000 dollars and it runs 200,000 houses compared from 1960 to 2014.  Ohh it s because they need 5 kids to feed.  maybe!

Anyway I m here to sell and pass to new buyer with no harm or foul.  When i want to re inventory i know i ll probably paid double for what i sell like i did in 2010 and in 2013.

again

5 items still available.  I just pulled 88 turbografx boxes out of storage and will go through.. I will list some opened boxes here and pass to new owner.  The sealed will goes to somewhere else since you dont need sealed cuz u want to play right? It will go to serious buyer.

Thanks again

Wont cost me a dime, The saying "it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it" simply means there is a sucker around every corner and if you wait long enough youll get your asking price. That dose not mean you or anyone with a clue would buy it. There are some pretty hard to find titles there and they would very easily fetch them prices on ebay, but this is not there and it's up to the potential buyers to know if they can afford/want to afford the asked prices. I don't think it will kill the market that bad, and who knows maybe he didn't sell any here and it was ebay he sold them on. Maybe it's a diabolical plan to ruin the price structure and he really does not own any of them and none were really sold and this was all to get people going? I don't know, but being smart people, this community knows better and probably wouldn't pay them prices as many of us wouldn't. Or people really are paying it based on sympathy for his story and if that's the case I hope it's a true story for his sake :-)   I have seen how ruthless people on forums can be, lots of telephone tough guys or in this case internet,, being able to hide behind a screen is great huh.

Ruthless? If your going to be stupid and treat this place like ebay for buying and selling then get out of here and hang over there with baited breath, no one is a tough guy here we just have a lot of passion and concern as things are getting worst and less people that actually are true fans that want to play or even collect the real games cannot as the prices are getting so ridiculous.

I am not treating this place like ebay, I said he has ebay prices. I have just as much if not more passion for my gaming and playing on real hardware etc.. I was not insulting anyone, just commenting on how easy it is to trash talk and if this guys post about needing a house for his kids is bullshit I'm 100% sure the shit will fly around here, hell I would be pissed if I bought a game at them prices thinking its a good cause only to find out there was no real situation.

I couldn't care less about why he's selling.  What bothers me is his years of "help me finish my collection!" and snapping up stuff here for relatively cheap, but when it comes time to sell he wants top dollar.

If you want fair market eBay pricing, then stick to eBay for both buying and selling.  We don't need you here.

If that was directed at me, your sadly mistaken, I as much as the next guy here do not want ebay pricing as its frickin crazy. God people need to learn how to read before jumping on someone and telling them to take a hike. I bet if I raffle off one of my turboexpress you would be the first one in line. I wasn't condoning the prices, just merely saying that someone is paying them (or maybe not) and they are crazy for doing so. People really need to lighten up and let new members have a chance, I'm sure your little "community" dose not have all the answers and all the games so letting new people into the "click" yes I said click, thats all any of these boards are and if anyone says other than what is going on in the click they are wrong, an asshat, jerk off, so on. Contrary to popular belief, there are people out there with more info/knowledge and all around experience. A good way to get them not to share is to shun them, so go ahead and keep pushing all the noobs away and you'll have just the clicky people, you might be fine with that but some of us here like to sit back and learn a few things we might not have known and when noobs comment on something most time they are looking for an answer, not "you f*cking noob you have no idea about anything get out of here" when it's really the ignorant one yelling who has not clue one about how to be a people person and invite fresh meat to the forums, Try it you might be surprised.

I know that from time to time there are the true asshats on all the forums I have ever been on that try to turn a buck on the games and systems they sell and it is a sad thing that they do it but it is up to us the buyers to know the difference and not fund that cause. Now seeing as how he was cryin about help me rebuild help me rebuild only to turn around and sell it back at a profit, well that should be lesson learned and when the time comes to restock for him just make sure your not the one helping him to rebuild and turn another potential profit.

just my observation

now let the flaming begin :-)

Would've been more effective if you had said clique...but whatever.

My comment and Necro's was not directed at you, you have guilty conscience or something :P.

Also not everyone on here is a kid that lives in there mom's basement, i sure am not and have just as much or more on my plate then you do, so do not come off as wiser then the rest of us or right, all of what you have said has been said before but your entitled to your opinion of coarse, and like i have said more then once, our so called "click" welcomes everyone, it is always the few asshats that fire people up here and make us look bad, we have a lot of passion for the system and having a haven here where ebay does not dictate value is alright with me.

and no i was not calling you and asshat, just a general statement.
just my ramble

God people need to learn how to read before jumping on someone and telling them to take a hike.

Learn to read indeed.  Years of whining for help is quite clearly not applicable to you or anyone else that recently joined; and seeing as he's the only one claiming "fair market" pricing, the second paragraph is obviously directed at wmac as well.

Now seeing as how he was cryin about help me rebuild help me rebuild only to turn around and sell it back at a profit...

So you knew I was talking about wmac and still pitched your little hissy fit?  Bravo, my good man.

I paid super high for the games and people says i over paid for them and now you said i m looking for cheap to buy and flip?  It doesnt make sense ????

Anyway I m here to raise fund for the house and not here to make friend with you.  I show full respect for the people who dealt with me and I cherish our business.  I am not here to say you are full of shit.  I am here to say.  Let s move on and let seller deal with what he want to sell here or there.  I have every game in my inventory and i am selling it all and will buy everdrive and live with it.

If anybody who need or want any of games (despise the items i ve sold).  Please feel free and PM me and ill check what condition it is and discuss the price to sell compared to low baller PCFX community versus the current crazy Evilbay prices.  I am here to sell fair prices. ;)

I try not to jump into the never-ending price wars around here, but are these really what these games are going for on eBay these days?

Quote
1. Airzonk w box $110
2. Cadash w box $125
3. Sinistron w box $120

5. Turrican w box $130
6. Neutopia 2 w box $250

9. Jackie Chan w box - $125

11. Order of Griffon w box - $120

14. Chase H.Q. w box - $200
15. New Adventure Island w box - $110
16. Somer Assault w box - $120
17. Raiden w box - $125

And don't even get me started on that Dynastic Hero price. I paid less than 1/5 of that a year ago.

Again, I tend to think the pissing wars about prices is tiring as all f*ck on these forums, but man...I bought a game several months back from wmac that I thought was a fair price. These just seem insane.

I think people are looking at e-bay and then making up prices as they go. Or they are members of this forum and pricing by what is happening on here.... Either way it is too damn much!...

Apparently I'm sitting on a gold mine.

We should all sell our collections, pool the money together, and buy a small country. The Kingdom of Obey! or Gougelvania!
