Title: Populous Has anyone played this game before ??
Post by: Nec.Game.head on March 31, 2014, 10:11:15 AM
I'm curious to find out if anyone on here has any experience with playing Populous ?? I started going through the tutorial which is all in English so I imagine it's playable without having to know how to read Japanese. My question is to anyone that's played this before is it worth playing ?? Looks fairly interesting so I'm willing to give it a go if it's worth the try ...
You should try Populous on the GT/TE, Nomad and Game Gear.

The only thing I don't like about the promissed lands CD is that if you play the original game on it(meaning the original chip version) The graphics look dull and faded compared to the hu card. No idea why this is. So because of that I own both the hu card for the original and then promissed lands for the add on version.

I suggest getting the promised lands as it has a lot of added content and is in ENGLISH! But yeah, its a great game.
Err....isn´t the original Populous in English as well? Afaik only the manual is in japanese...I can´t remember having seen any japanese glyphs on the gamescreens :-k

Yeah, the whole thing, the HuCard version anyway, is totally %100 English.
And the game in general is great. I've been a fan since the Amiga version.
