Title: Selling pce engine games New games added!
Post by: madboom0522 on April 05, 2014, 01:15:22 AM
I have posted trying to buy the games I wanted or trade for with no luck,so looks like I'm off to pay way too much on e-bay. Here is a list of a few.

I am getting e-mails asking how much for certain games. I will list what I am into them for and if anyone does not agree with it then sorry about that. I listed games with most likely lower grades then they are. This way no one is upset with what they receive. All prices will be shipping+3% for paypal fees. Unless you choose to gift the payment then it's just the shipping costs

(BONUS FOR EVERY 3 GAMES BOUGHT I WILL THROW IN A RANDOM FREE GAME!)

                                                     (ALL GAMES SOLD)

Terraforming $60 Disc mint manual 8.0-8.5 has spine insert

Steam hearts
Nexar
Summer Carnival 93

Awesome selection of games there, some of the best.
If I didn't own them all already I definitely would be shooting you over an offer.

Nexar should be Nexzr

Hey, never said my spelling was a strong point.... I'm sure I could have found the correct spelling for them. To be honest I was to lazy to look them up for it. I figured that people would know what they were. I have other pce games but have not listed them as of yet. Most common.

He already stated he isn't listing prices. You have to make a random offer and see what happens. I never understood this kind of mentality. In almost any kind of transaction, you offer something with price in mind and people ether accept or haggle about it.

I've never been to a grocery store or game store where an item on the shelf was marked "make an offer" and you go to the manager to talk terms. It's pretty ridiculous IMHO. I would suspect the OP would get more responses if he would just be honest and lay out on the table what he was expecting to get for his items. It eliminates this cat-and-mouse game of "Ok, I offer 1 dollar less than my previous offer" until the seller accepts. You have an idea what you want for it, just say it. You'll get way more genuine offers because it eliminates low-ballers or people who can't afford to buy at any realistic price and would just be wasting your time.

It's a silent auction aka time waster for most of us interested. I dont even bother with these kinds of threads
Title: Re: Selling pc engine games
Post by: madboom0522 on April 05, 2014, 12:20:06 PM
That may well be, however it seems when you list prices on here people can get carried away with what they see. If I list what I am into the games for then it might make people think I am trying to get more than I paid for them. I may have overpaid or underpaid. It's up to those who are interested to contact me to find out. I am not treating this like e-bay where you have a price and then field a shit ton of offers. If someone really wants what I have then they make an offer.... Look what happen to the last guy that sold a bunch of his stuff for what he wanted.. People thought he was greedy. This is not a silent auction. People know what they are willing to pay for something.

You know what they are worth, we know what they are worth. List them for a fair reasonable price and you have nothing to worry about. If you want ebay prices or an auction then sell them on ebay. You are just creating drama for yourself if you post it all make an offer

Nobody expects you to lose money, at least they shouldn't.  :)  Passing them off at cost is a damn good gesture sir.  :)

Thanks for the support Bernie... I wish the same could be said for the damn us releases! Too bad it is so high..... On some of these games I might even be less then I paid. I am just trying to be fair to people on here.

My negotiations with mr Boom here have been fair and pleasant.  Dont be afraid to shoot him a PM guys.

Someone needs to get those Nexzrs!!!!
Title: Re: Selling pc engine games
Post by: geise on April 05, 2014, 02:54:37 PM
I would always rather see prices for games listed, but I personally don't have a problem with just wanting offers.  If you know what you're willing to pay then just send a PM.  If he shoots it down, just move on, or negotiate if you feel there's room to.  At least he's selling them here.
Title: Re: Selling pc engine games
Post by: madboom0522 on April 05, 2014, 03:30:25 PM
Look I would rather sell here to you guys before I went to way too much bay... I am trying to be fair with my prices.  I'm sure I could most likely get more there but it is better to keep it in the group. I am sure that some of them are lower than what I paid, but what the hell it is what it is..... NOW SOMEONE SELL ME A DYNASTIC HERO.....

What is the difference between a FAN version of MC and a Non fan version?

Fan ver. is a reprint in lower quantities.

So a non fan is an original and a fan version was made later?

Yes. They're the same thing, though. One says fan, one doesn't, that's all, I think at least.

The original comes in an older style case with a sticker label spine card and black trey. Fan edition has a cd style jewel case with white tray that the hu slides in with the hooks for the plastic slip. It also says PCE fan edition on it which is not like a "fan release" it's named after the magazine Pc Engine Fan and came out later.

To be equally fair, your prices are indeed reasonable. People just wanted you to list them so you don't get 1000pm's asking you the same question. :-) But yes, indeed fair prices!

It would be fantastic if we were able to +/- transactions to build up credit around this joint wouldn't it?

Edit: Also, for what it's worth, it seems like ManBoom's prices are pretty good.  Nice of you to sell these at down to earth prices for the community.  :)
