When I am not OBEY'ing, WoW is my crack, wondering if anyone has a similar addiction, lol
Cheers...

I never let myself start playing WoW, because I just KNEW that was exactly what would happen... I have too many hobbies as it is, I reallllly don't need another addiction to feed.
However, in a moment of weakness I recently let myself pick up Diablo III. So now I'm playing THAT every free moment I have. #-o

WOW sucks compared to Ultima Online enough said. I played WOW for a total of 3 months back in 04 and promptly went back to Ultima.

Hardly the best person to judge then...

I had a friend years ago....he started playing WoW.....I never saw him again after that. Besides neglecting a social life, he started neglecting work. I'm sure it's a fun game, but, I hear crack & heroin are also really fun! I hope he get's off it someday, cuz he just can't get off of it. If there was a way for him to play it every so often, like normal RnR, that'd be okay, but, that's not how this game works for him sadly.

NEVER!

I used to play for hours every day when I was forcibly relocated at work, had no girlfriend, no friends was generally in a bad place. Once I moved on again to a better work place and met my wife and had a son I stopped playing.
Then I found turbo!

Right, UO as soo many more options is more of a true sandbox than WOW. UO you can build your own ships and have castles. WOW you raid shit and call it pvp. UO invented the art of pvping. Hell you don't even need to quest or adventure in UO you can be a townie and make cash crafting selling stuff. Try that in WOW and see how far you get. WOW isn't that much fun and is more like Everquest than anything. So limited to what you can do...

You want pvp you have whole realms, or Battlegrounds....
You can work professions in WoW as well....wanna be a townie Garrisons are coming.
No one HAS to raid, you can play causal or be a hardcore weekly raider, there is totally a choice.

Gotta say, crafting and selling (either trade chan or AH) in WoW pales in comparison to making a store/vendor in UO.
Or decapitating a pk and use their heads as decorations in your house/keep/castle. Or actually use the begging skill. :) So much to do in UO and there is a reason why it hasn't died after 17 years.

WoW is almost like the heroin of vidya games. Only I tried it for awhile, had fun, then stopped and continued on.
I started right when Lich King came out. I felt left out from my friends. I never was at their level because it took so much to do. I still had fun though, I would play casually by myself and have fun, which probably wasn't entirely the correct way to play (I never did many raids or anything) but I had fun.
I gave it up because it got expensive. I found more enjoyment from games I didn't have to pay for monthly. I also didn't want to eventually reach the point of addiction.
Thankfully I obey now.

Never played. I'm not big on PC gaming.
