Title: Game Express CD cards - Wrong Version?
Post by: Trenton_net on April 23, 2014, 02:03:25 PM
Hey Gang,

I just got a Game Express CD-ROM and it came with a boot card. However, when launching the game it starts ok, but then all the character graphics gets messed up and blocky.  It still runs and I can hear everything fine, it's just that all the sprites are all blocks and messed up graphics.

Does anyone know if this is normal for a miss-matched boot card? Or is the CD-ROM scratched or something? Do you know how to identify which boot card goes for which game?

It may be the wrong card, but I believe that it has been said later releases used the extra memory of the Duo/SCD units. Are you trying it on a briefcase setup?

@Black_Tiger: You win a prize! I was trying this on such a setup! So that solves it then. Because I don't have a real system card with extra memory inserted, these games won't work.
