ok so usually when i miss something that good of a deal on ebay i don't cry so much. but this is a store that takes in used electronics, and this store happens to be 3-4 blocks away from me and i was in there just about 1 hour after this sold. the guy hates himself for letting it go for that, but my god i could have got that awesome deal if only 1 hour earlier !

I have caught a good deal like that a few time.  Just recently I got a complete with the box New Adventure Island for $60.

That New Adventure Island was a great buy. The same seller that sold the Sid Mead also sold a New Adventure Island cib $120 or so. As I was buying it it sold.

Warping why did he sell it for that? He didn't realize what it was worth?

I used to make auctions like this quite a bit.  reality is the game was never really sold.  It was just to f*ck with people searching and to try and drive the perceived price down.

Didn't always work though, did it?

actually it raised a lot of eyebrows.  Another member here met someone at MCG this year who was talking about a MC auction he missed for 200.00 about a year ago....lol

I'm sure that happens, but what makes you think that is what happened here? The OP knows the store owner. Why would a store owner want to drive prices down (and then lie about it)?

Also, plenty of folks have snagged deals like that (or better) on eBay. Just ask Galam.

Sometimes people do put up listings like that. I got Super Air Zonk a year or so ago for 50.00 on a BIN.

he used the japanese version for reference. and they rely heavy on ebay for sale so they just sold it. they also have a CIB american duo for 700, i tested it out. its amazing watching someone take that out of the box, near mint

There is absolutely no reason to spend 2-10x as much for the US Terraforming.  I have the PCE version and its super awesome... Just like the pile o cash that remains in my wallet!
