I just saw a long play of this on youtube. Looks like a fun shooter and I wouldn't mind having a copy in my collection, but I saw in the video comments that the game goes for over 600.00. A quick ebay search doesn't show any except for a repo cart that was $99.99.
Why is it rare? Low production count? One of the last games out of the gate for the system? A hundred bucks for a repo cart seems outrageous, but I would be open to owning the repo for a reasonable price.
I don't know much on what is rare on the Megadrive.

I have seen repo carts of it for like $20 shipped out of South Korea and elsewhere. Just keep looking, one will pop up cheap again.

low print run, Aprinet /vision soft was a rather unknown developer/publisher, etc.
it't can be considered as quite rare and even japanese shops pay top-yens these days for a mint CIB copy.

I've watched a playthrough not too long ago and it blew me away. I've yet to pick it up, but Prof's google-fu has me tempted. :) I love the soundtrack, though I know some folks here despise it.

Soundtrack doesnt try to be anything special. Just in your face heavy hit the FM chip with a hammer type of thing, I think it suits the game quite well personally. And yeah legit copies are very hard to get these days, took me years before I was lucky enough to find one in the wild for about $50 missing the manual (I live in Japan).

I was able to nab one for about $250 from mandarake before boots were easy to source.
Its not a bad game but Gleylancer is more of a must own (a bit cheaper too)
