Title: Found! Dracula X
Post by: seieienbu on May 09, 2014, 12:15:40 AM
I've been meaning to get a copy of this for a long while and have been price watching it for months.  Ebay prices have doubled on it lately so I'd rather not go there.  As recently as February they were selling there for under $100.

I was hoping to get a copy for about $80 but perhaps that's a bit too optimistic?  I don't need a spine card but I would like manual and case.

I would like to say good luck with that, however I sold my copy here last month for $100 shipped. That's about the going rate on this game it would seem, at least on the forum. E-bay $120-$180.

Yeah.  If $80 is too low I'm definitely open to discussion on what a "fair" price would be.

Yeah, $100 shipped has become the new baseline it seems.  :(  That said, this game is worth twice that, so go ahead and get it now.  You'll get far more enjoyment out of it than you will out of 2 of the latest $50-60 shovelware games for current generation systems.  Worst case, you'll play it, enjoy it, and sell it off later for about what you put into it.  I don't see the price crashing on this game anytime in our lifetime.

I think I'd be okay with $100, the cheapest on ebay is 120+shipping.  Thus, the thread.

It seems like their was a fair dip in price with the release on the PSP, but it has been gradually going back up.  I picked up my complete copy (obi & reg included) a couple months ago direct from Japan at about $100 to my door.

exactly my reasoning for getting it. It is the most expensive retro game I have and it was totally worth it. More than that,  wiimednafen is my friend.

we just had an absolute EXHAUSTING thread about drac x.
dont get me wrong...nobody blames you for wanting it.  i recently won an auction under 100 a couple months ago.
the problem is, sellers rarely start it low and actually let the bids drive the price.  just ass clowns with 125+ BINs.
only thing is...this game is still worth its price point in terms of fun/playability.

Yeah I was patient and got it from madboom for $100. Figured I'd best deal through here instead of higher prices and possibly lower quality through evilbay. It was a nice present to myself with some of my tax return. Good luck to ya

Thanks for the well wishing.  I really should have bought this game years ago.  If nobody has an extra copy just lying around I guess I'll bite the  bullet and pay a little bit more on ebay.

I sold my copy without a spine card for $120 recently, so yeah it is going up quite a bit.

For the time being you could just burn a copy to hold ya over so you can at least play it!

I figure I'll wait another week before going to ebay.  I'm still hoping that somebody has a copy they're willing to sell.
