Hey Gang,
I recently picked up a Framemeister for RGB/S-Video use with my DUO-R/PCE setups. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the best settings are for using your Obey setup with a Framemeister?
I'm not sure how many people actually own one, so I figured I'd ask just to see in case.

There really is no such thing as best settings. Depends on what you like. Sharpness is the big variable usually, making it sharper will give it a more emulated look, while lowing it gives a softer slightly blurry CRT look. Which you prefer is really a matter of taste. Since PCEs are typically color amped for RGB, your color settings would changed based on the strength of your amp. Just toy around and see what you like the best.

I have one, but there aren't any special settings I use for the pce. The A/D level can be adjusted to compensate for too strong or too weak rgb amplification. Holla if you have any questions.

ENABLE SCANLINES!!!
end of settings.

Is there any point to the game modes / Mister mode? From what I hear, they don't reduce any lag time, yet they use weave/bob for de-interlacing which will cause a vertical shake on the top and bottom of the screens. In addition, since scanlines can be enabled on any mode, it's kind of redundant?

Not anymore. Originally, those were the scanline modes, but with more recent firmware you can use scanlines in any mode. I usually use picture or natural modes, and only use the others if I have a noisy picture since some of them filter.

Since you own a unit, what's your opinion regarding S-video vs RGB? Is S-Video significantly worse than RGB in terms of clarity? How about component? I'd be interested in hearing your opinion, or seeing examples.
