So some how this poped up during a search...
Any thoughts on it? I ask because I do not know..
I hear a lot of support for the everdrive (insert system) but what about this?

They say it is ok to talk to yourself, but you're in trouble when you answer. (Protip: edit post button)
ever drive supports sd cards, all roms (including sf2 & populous), and is loaded with features (reset button, region switch, nice if basic gui)
the neo-flash isn't so user friendly and doesn't support all roms. Plus it doesn't use an sd card so you have to connect it to your pc to load it with roms.
Duly noted thanks
The voices and shadow people like you a lot more then the other guy who posted first.

The Neo card does support all roms (including sf2 & populous)
...and has a reset button, and a nice if basic gui
EDIT to add: if you're shopping for a flash card, go with the everdrive.

Ya, I've got a NEO Flash and they're decent cards, mine has worked well for me for without any issues. But there are some pretty nice alternatives out there now.
-
Do they really support Populous and its extra ram? That seems unlikely.
-
If it can really transfer save files from console to computer, then I will actually buy one.

Can any flashcart do that? I've got the neo 128 and to the best of my knowledge it can't.

Hmm, alright, just checked my card and it doesn't have the battery on it, but this does jog my memory. I got the card as part of a group buy here a few years ago and I vaguely recall some conversation on the save functionality. Let me see if I can find the thread.
EDIT: Found the original thread (http://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=11025.0). Save is discussed at the bottom of page 1 and some on page 2.

Oh wow, that was a pretty successful Group Buy, too bad Turbo Everdrive hadn't come out yet though...

Agreed! I still need to get an Everdrive, but I think I missed out on the group buy for that.

Awesome, thanks for digging up that old thread.

No problem! :) I should note that the best post regarding save on the neo is cabbage's at the top of page 3. Basically he tried every way imaginable to get the save functionality work and couldn't.

I'm with you about wanting to pull saves off the Duo and put them on my computer. IIRC someone actually wrote a tool to do this using the head phone jack on the Duo. As far as the flash cart goes, see this post (http://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=11025.msg206504#msg206504).

Ah, no, you didn't, it never happened so keep the idea in mind then! I think I see at least 5 so far, me included (unless I win Bernie's raffle of course!), we just need a leader to be the one to make the order of 10, receive it, and ship each one out individually to participants. At 10+ the price will only be $60 which is pretty damn good!

I don't get how that would work out.
It says on eir website that due to demand there are no offers, bundles, or discounts offered for any of their ever drives.

It's almost about to happen for the SD2-SNES cart.
http://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=16576.0
http://shop.retrogate.com/SD2SNES-SD2SNES.htm
Price : $190.00
10 or more: $155.00 each
But looking at Turbo Everdrive:
http://shop.retrogate.com/Turbo-EverDrive-TURBO-ED.htm
Price: $79.00
10 or more: $60.00 each
Availability: Out-of-Stock
Well, unfortunately it means he's sold out with no notice on when/if he'll produce more. Hmmmm... Anyway, that SNES thread shows how a Group Buy is organized assuming the item is in stock.

Ohhhhhhhh
Then count me in.....
I'll keep any eye open for a thread on this then

The eBay gouging is now set to begin as well for TE... Even months ago we caught a guy trying to sell a bare one for double the price (normally $79 directly from the creator AKA retrogate, this dude tried to go for $180 or so)...

Does the Everdrive include Tenokoe(spelled right?) like functions? It seems like the developer could include that function pretty easily then it could just be copy to the computer from the SD card. It may be as simple as sending him an email and asking for a firmware update. Wishful thinking.

No, but there is someone on his forums that has been playing with the idea. It is in its early stages right now. So, I believe we will see it eventually as part of the TE's OS.

I've got the Neoflash cart, and it gets the job done, but the Everdrive is much better. In this day and age is only get the Neoflash if someone was selling one cheap.
