I think it would have been fun. I liked the original. Ive only played it on emulation.

I have it and it is the most fun you can experience in a 2-player PCE game. It will remain in my vault until after I die, so that I can hold my claim of possession of it over the heads of jealous inferior collectors for the rest of my short life. I proved that the game means for to me than to the collective game-playing whiners, by bidding more for it than anyone else.
If you wish to argue further, I can continue to brag about owning it and many other rare unseen prototypes.

I'm not the biggest fan of Paradroid, as I never learned how to gain control of other droids, but it is considered a classic.
If you want to see how Paradroid '90 would have turned out on the PCE, you can check out the pretty cool Amiga version.
Also, more info regarding the cancelled PCE version: http://www.abime.net/interviews/view/interview/id/1
In short, publisher Hewson went out of business and NEC asked for the devkit back with no delay.

I am intimate with the classic soundtrack.

Never heard of that game and of a pce version.

But that was a pretty fun read!
Fun? I skipped 99% of the posts apart from the main one.

Black Tiger's post is better than anything in that thread.
Never heard of that game and of a pce version.
Same here.

I spent many many many hours playing this on my C=64 a PCE port would be awesome...
Black Tiger, aside from the user name would also be an awesome game to have on the system

I always thought that the best thing about the pcengine was that it managed to avoid the glut of crap
western games developers. Not that all western developed console games sucked, just 90% of them,
as witnessed by the lackluste Turrican, Impossamole, Talespin and ICFTD on TG16.
But, this could have been a classic.
Played the original C64 version bitd and still do (on the hardware) and the atmosphere is amazing, considering the sound is mainly sid generated bleeps, especially when you are 'dying' and have to find another host droid.
Andrew Braybrook developed some all time classics on the C64, Paradroid, Uridium, Morpheus etc.
Definately a (big) missed opportunity for the pce/tg16.

Hmm, so it sounds like the game was finished on their own, but I doubt we'll ever see it in our hands. The only thing I really knew about the game, was that there was a listing for it in the release schedule for Turbo games in EGM BITD.
