I think I have the plastic bag I used to wrap my sandwich with I took to lunch at work yesterday.

Think I can get $20 for it? Lol

Is it retro? I'll give you $50 if it is.

You must understand that worth is determined by what people are willing to pay... Somewhere in this big world of ours, there might be a nut out there willing to pay $50 GBP for that plastic bag. This seller is using eBay as a searching/phishing tool to hopefully find and separate that nut from his/her money... Will this seller find the nut that he is hoping for ?? I sure hope not, but will I be surprised if it happens ?? Not one bit... Not a damn bit!

The seller did find a "nut", the bag actually sold for his $50 asking price.

Shit, I guess you're right, the SOB f--king did it! I thought the listing had just ended because there is no link to see a list of the bidder(s)/buyer(s) as usually is the case when an auction/sale is over... But yeah, there's a dimmed "sold for" text there after all! I've missed that indication in the past actually and thought the listing was just over... Anyway, wow, so just throw 'retro' and 'Nintendo' around on a plastic bag sale and have it sell for big money... People are f--king dumb, really dumb...

But hey, who knows, could be just him and a buddy illustrating absurdity by being absurd ?? That makes the most sense to me, but what the hell do I know... To truly successfully complete this sale, it relies upon the buyer not immediately realizing s/he was sold an ordinary item upon receiving it and not immediately demanding a refund plus resorting to reporting the seller if it's not provided.

The real question, would any of us pay $50 for a condom?

I'd like to think at least one of us would shell that out  :-"

What're the circumstances?  Is it now or never with beautiful dream girl and that's the only condom in town?  Am I dying of cancer with a week to live?  I think $50 for a condom is way more reasonable than $50 for a bag which at some point may have had a game and watch in it.  I wonder if I have any bags that look like that...I'd cut ebayers a deal and sell it for a mere $45 L@@K!

This is just plain crazy.  The bag could be from anything; it's not like it's special or custom besides the size.

I analyzed the photo and it is consistent with the materials used at the time the item was available in retail stores.

Furthermore, the patina is appropriate for a bag of this vintage. Patina is dust, dirt and grime that adds character to an item (and should never be cleaned away or otherwise molested).

All that is missing is some certified compressed air (of a matching vintage) to spray into the bag.

I am glad we have such experts in these forums. I certinaly hope they reffered to you at the ET dig site to verify the soil layers age in relation to the patina of the atari cases found.

When you can ease send a signed et atari game from said dig sight as a raffles prize for forum members

On the one hand, I like it when idiots spend money. It stimulates the economy and that's better for us all. On the other hand, it does drive the hell out of other retro stuff. "Whoa! This bag sold for $50! Surely this Super NES game I own is worth $5000! I never knew Pilotwings would net me so much money! Glad I didn't throw it away like that Magic Choose game."

This is AWESOME!  I pray that it's shipping to the USA and that US Customs opens this one.  I can just see everyone in the room shaking their heads and calling their buddy over "Hey!  Hey!  You guys gotta see this bullshit!"
