There's a store in the US selling these for $18.95.  Cost with shipping was $25.25 for me.  Much less than what this guy is asking.

Yes, I know but I'm curious if this Sanyo model is different from the Hitachi.

well I'm interested.  My Duo won't read any CD music anymore.  The games play, but I get NO sound output anymore..  well besides the Built in Midi music( LIKE town music in Y's)  .
Will this fix that?  (Getting a new CD lense)
And exactly how much work is involved.  I've never opened my DUO, so I have NO idea whats inside.  Besides a little PC operating I'm pretty much useless.
Any ONLINE links to step by step operations?
Curious...

Replacing the CD lens will not solve the redbook audo problem. If your Cd lens is on the fritz though, loading errors or lockups, then I suggest buying one.
Installing the CD lens isn't hard either, just unscrew and pull a few wires thats it. No soldering involved. Major issue is removing those pesky star screws.

Edit: never mind, I started a new topic with my question in the right section.

Two questions:
1) Will this work with an American Duo?
2) How hard is this to do?
