I'm going to have one of these printed and see how well it fits:

That's some cool beans there.  Good luck!

If it turns out well, perhaps you could do Duo huey doors.

If someone wants to loan me one I will model it.

Jesus please, I'd love a replacement one for my RX.  Because there is no cover, every time I look at it I see that gaping maw beckoning for me to insert something into it.

Then I put BeBall in and wind up playing around for an hour or so.

The Duo R and RX have a different door than the Duo.  If someone will loan me one of those I can model that also.

Don't you think your white Duo-R's sin slot would stand out even more with that fancy black Duo door covering it?

It won't fit.  You would have to keep pushing it and pushing it until something finally gave way and then it would fit all sloppy and loose.

And we can't have that now, can we? :3

Oh you guys, I'm getting all embarrassed now!

If I had one I would lend it to you, but I don't have one, hence my gaping predicament.

How much would it cost to print one of these by the way?  If it's like $50 I may just enjoy my RX glory hole and spend the cash on a nice huey instead.

I'd be willing to donate my Duo R door to help the replacement process if need be. Whenever i see a Duo R/X without the Huey Door i get a little sad, they look so lonely.

I don't know at this point; 3D printing is all about volume.  The more material in the part the more expensive it is.  Also, larger order size will only save you on shipping since the bulk of the price is for the material, not labor or setup.

The problem with R/RX doors is that they're different colors, while the PCE/Turbo Duo doors are interchangeable.

Are you saying the Duo R and RX models are different? I did not know that, my bad. I figured it was the same color white.

The R is cream colored, the RX is white.

Something else that people are sometimes surprised by, is that the two CoreGrafx systems have physically different casing designs.

I personally don't care if the color is off, I can always just paint or dye it.  I'd probably just leave it as is to be honest.

I love all of gods (PCE) children, regardless of color or denomination!

That actually sounds pretty awesome.  If I got a turbo orange colored one for my RX I would definitely put a Bonk sticker on it then.  It would be like a true multi-racial console child of with the Turbob father and PCE mother.

Probably been asked somewhere else, but I am curious how the parts "feel" compared to the originals..  Are the printed parts "brittle"?

The battery door has not come in yet but it is made out of a material called "strong and flexible".  I have had other larger parts made out of it and it reacts very much like you would expect a molded plastic part of that size to react.
