I love the game, the graphics are amazing, but it feels souless. Am i the only one? Maybe it's the non catchy soundtrack or the huge rip off of the soldiers series, but even though i enjoy playing it, it doesnt seem to give me the same feeling after playing like games such as super soldier or wind of thunder. also, the end boss looks very similar to the first boss in cotton... even his attacks .... i dont know. great game, simply. not giving a lasting impression on me. let me know what you think of it.

It is no Aero Blasters, but no Cyber-Core either. I like it, the graphics are very clean and bright, and it pulls off parallax with ease. I also think the intro is haunting and gripping in it's own way. I've played a lot worse.
Wind of Thunder? Yea, I get that after I eat too many onions

Right about 0:56... Zomg!!!

I really like Dead Moon, especially its skele-bosses. It's not GoT or Soldier Blade, but it's a solid B grade shewty.
-
No love from me...bought it, played it, sold it. Same with Cyber-Core...nothing wrong with those games, just nothing I would keep coming back for, unlike the Soldiers or Parodius.

It's not Side Arms bad, but it's nowhere near as nice as Ordyne...
A B+ player.

That song is amazing! 100% agreed.

You so crazy. Sidearms is a great game. It is challenging, which can be off-putting, but it is a fantastic game.
ON DEAD MOON: Yeah, this could have been so much more...but, as others have said, it is a solid shoot-em-up.
Part of the reason why it lacks a real personality are the enemy designs (generic geometric shapes....just don't grab me, usually).
HOWEVER, the transitions from end of stage to next stage are EXCELLENT. More games should have done this. What a nice little touch!
Back in the day, I was pretty harsh judging lots of TG-16/PCE shoot-em-ups (Sinistron and CyberCore, for example, were third-tier..), because I assumed that all the other shoot-em-ups out there (that I had yet to play) must be better.
Well, now I know better. I have played so many shooters, and so many of them are lacking. I better appreciate games like Dead Moon. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

especially its skele-bosses.
I like too. :3

DM is nothing like the Soldier series. WTF.
Anyway, Turbochip + tits parallax + solid music and control = awesome game.

Try flipping your monitor on it's side...

I love Dead Moon as well. I do agree with what others have said in the past that it sort of like a nice Demo. Something similar to Shadow of the Beast on the Amiga. It looks great! The game has amazing music. As a game itself there isn't much to it. Regardless I keep coming back to play it now and then. Lol, same goes for SotB on the Amiga.

Rover, we never talked about this, but my personal theory is that the stage-to-stage transitions in Dead Moon inspired you to include the impeccable transitions in Lucretia.
Amorites?

I really like Dead Moon, but I get what you're saying about it feeling soul-less. It just feels like a little something is missing, maybe character? The levels feel a little generic but with the parallax and the music it does add up. If anyone were to ask if they should pick it up I'd definitely recommend it and I don't think they'd be disappointed.

Agreed.
