Title: Canadian Sega Collector selling large collection (not mine)
Post by: elderbroom on August 06, 2014, 11:22:55 AM
Hello

Stumbled across this while looking for gaming kiosks.  Canadian Sega Collector selling his large collection.  This is not my collection, and I don't personally know the seller !

Appears he's manually hosting his own auction, and wants to sell it all in one giant lot.  So not for me, as I'm not that interested in Sega collecting .. and well, can't dedicate that much cash to the hobby.

But in case anyone out there is interested   http://dpgrp.com/sega/index.html

Enjoy !  I'd buy a boxed Sega CDX, and Nomad off whomever lands this collection

The Ultimate Selective SEGA
Retro North American Collection
is For Sale

No SG-1000, Mark III/SMS, Dreamcast, arcade, etc.

Plus, hardly any games.

Looks like a "I collected Sega for a year and got bored" sale.

Yeah pretty much !

Doesn't interest me, but figured it might be up someone's alley if they can get it for the right price.

Never owned a Sega console until I was in my mid-20's .. so no nostalgia for me.

Yeah, about the only thing in there I'd be interested in is the marketing collateral and a couple of the boxed systems.  Hardly a definitive collection but thanks for posting it.  How'd you come across his "auction"?

Seller is local to me (~40min drive) so it came up as a pointer to this site in some local classifieds that I regularly search.  Figured it was worth passing on.  I like the kiosk, boxed cdx, boxed nomad. Beyond that no real interest for me.

I'd take that kiosk, but yeah that's a pretty weak offering. Nothing is particularly rare, even the promo materials.

There is a Japanese Mark III copy of Great Ice Hockey on eBay right now. Now THAT f*cker is legit impossible to find:

Wow, this guy's a lame ass.  Why even buy the hardware if you aren't going to get good games for it?  Tsk...collectards. :/

We should all email him bids then when offered, we all back out one at a time.  he will get sick of going down the line and offering
