Seems like a bunch of us were into these when we were younger and we've hijacked another thread talking about them. I'll be posting pics of some I found at my parents' house soon. Have to pick up my slammers next time I go home.
-
Oh I got all my pogs just wait till i get home :D
-
All of mine were thrown away ca. 1999. Then again, I hadn't touched them since 1995ish. I do kind of miss my cool metal slammers.

My wife bought like 2000 off ebay for $10 about a month ago. These things do need loving though...

That is one of the cool thing about POGS, none of them have any value at all. I see unopened packs at flea markets occasionally and just pick them up because they are usually 25 cents or less.

When we moved to our new house, I had to get all the boxes from my parents house, since leaving in an apartment doesn't leave a lot of extra space. One whole rubbermaid container was full of pogs and slammers... Pulling out this one "tube", I realized it was my 'best' pogs collection... you know the poison or shaped pogs... those ones you never play with to avoid loss lol. My wife laughed and we ended up playing for about 10-20 minutes and soon realized the nostalgic feeling had left us lol.
-
Haha. Mine are in one of those tubes as well. I'll look for them later. We're all talking, but nobody's posting any pics!
-
I pulled some stuff out of my parent's attic recently and pogs were among the items. I will post some pictures...

Seriously, what was it with 8 balls, skulls and ying-yangs back then? Had a few video game ones mixed in.

Ok, if I had "kool" POGS like MK OR SFII ones above...I admit it would be fun. Aren't these cardboard, though? If they were plastic chips, I'd love them! I'm very tactile and I love plastic chips (heavy, jumbo plastic dominoes are heaven to me, for example, but I love HuCARDS, OF COURSE and poker chips, etc.)
DISCLAIMER: I would be very picky about the art on the POG.
-
Yep, cardboard. The ones in the fourth and fifth pic are slammers though. They're made of metal or plastic.
-
Where y'at? Need to see more POGS!
-
I don't have any left, so here's this instead!

Hahaha I forgot those were cool around the time of the whole OJ Simpson trial... I remember them selling specialty slammers that said "OJ in the Slammer" oh good times...
