Just curious as to what you use as the name for the game chips?
I've always used the HuCard name, but it seems as though even NEC could not decide what they wanted to call the chips in the US. They refer to both Turbo Chip and HuCard on just about every game through the instructions and then on the game itself.
-
I've always said HuCard
-
I prefer TurboChips to Hu Cards.
-
I call 'em Turbob Hueys.
-
Hu card all the way
-
Guess I would have to say im a HUcard kinda guy
-
Don't forget, they're also known as HuckCARDs.

is it "who" or "hue" card ?
-
I always called US games Turbo Chips and PC Engine games "hue" cards for who knows what reason.
-
HuCard sounds better. So I always used HuCard in the past. Turbo chip sounds kinda like slang or something used by a "geek."
-
Four years straight calling them ''hue'' cards, turbochips sounds alien to me lol.
-
Hu all the way
-
HuCard, probably derived from "Hu"dson soft Card, on the msx ( Japanese only computer), Hudson also released the Beecard which were similar
-
Wasn't Turbo Chip what they marketed them as in the US? That name just makes me want chips. Mmmmhh, chips.

It was... yet they still have HuCard printed right on the card itself. I guess that's why I've always called them HuCards.

Cartridges.......
-
If I'm talking about a U.S. game, I call them Turbochips. I know it's really just a branding thing they did for localization and they're all technically Hucards.
-
Cartridges.......
Tapes...
-
I go back and forth from calling them HuCards or just chips.
-
ChuCards is even better!
-
definitely hu card is my favorite term.
or how about turbo cards? or hu chips?
nahhh, hu card seems about right
-
Since Hudson/NEC was never consistent, I settled on HuCards.
-
TurboChip sounds stupid.
HuCARD all the way, unless I'm purposefully making a joke.
Pointing to Ballistix cardboard box on my bedroom dresser. "Can you hand me that Ballistix cardboard box? I want to see if that piece of TurbChip is still inside. Thanks."
-
I called 'em TurboChips as a kid, but for some reason I call them HuCards now. I just like the name better. Maybe it's the Hudson factor. I
-
I find just calling them HuCards seems to be appropriate for most. Interchangeable but I usually say HuCards meaning both
-
I like Hu Card.

First place will always be awarded to the use of Scrooge McDuck, of course.

hehe, I prefer the Turbo Chip! It sounds cool ;]
-
Hu for me. TurboChips always makes me hungry.
-
Turbochips for me. Especially if they're cool ranch. So yum.
-
I use them to differentiate US stuff from J stuff. If it's an import it's a HuCard, if it's domestic (for me) it's a Turbochip.
People getting mad when you call them Turbochips is another big plus.
